What's up Potterheads :)
This video recaps my experience watching Harry Potter & The Cursed Child at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre in downtown Toronto and my thoughts on the highly accredited play.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a 2016 British two-part play written by Jack Thorne based on an original story by J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany, and Thorne.
Harry Potter & The Cursed Child received enthusiastic critical reception, although the script was not received well by some of the Harry Potter fandom. At the 2017 Laurence Olivier Awards, the London production received a record-breaking eleven nominations and won another record-breaking nine awards, including Best New Play.
The play also set the record for highest all-time weekly ticket sales of any play, grossing over $2.5 million at the Lyric Theatre for the week ending 30 December 2018.
In June 2021, the production team announced that the play would be restaged as a single show for future performances on Broadway beginning in November 2021, as well the San Francisco, Toronto, and Melbourne productions beginning in 2022. The existing two-part play will continue to be staged in London and Hamburg

Excellent review man! You answered all my questions about this play, and it was cool to see the bonus footage as well, thanks!!
Thanks a lot!!
Just booked the tickets for this. And I’m so excited. Your review was 💯
Haha thanks, awesome! enjoy!
Thanks for the review
Most welcome:)
Your review made us so excited to go see the show!! Thank you
Haha no worries! I know a few people had issues with the script, but the visual effects alone are worth the cost of admission : )
Thank you for the review and the rush ticket information. Wanted to take my kids to see the show but the tickets were too expensive.
No problem at all! You can definitely also check Ed Mirvish Theatres website for any other discounted promos they are running, I know during the halloween weekend they had some other promos going on too.
Thanks for review
I hope you rack up views
Thanks for the comment! ❤
@kashsheikh786 nice video, as you know the theatre, you think in the back left side of the 1. floor is better or in the back middle of the 2. floor?
I think the back middle might be better but ideally if you can get similar seats to what I had you would have the most enjoyable time because the illusion of magic is there. If your viewpoint is really high up or really far to the back left or right the sound will not be as good as it is in the middle of floor 1 and also you might see some movement behind the props
Do you think if I ask at the beginning they’d give or let me by one of the bottles of butter beer?
You can try! I’m sure as soon as people start buying the beer they will have the bottles lying in the back because they pour them all in glasses for everyone
He’s right its an angle sensitive show. The middle seats are better.
Thanks for the comment!
is there popcorn and soft drinks there??? If so how much???
Both levels of the theatre feature bar/concession counters available to all guests during pre-show and intermission, located in the Main Lobby, the Mezzanine Lobby and the Yonge Street Gallery.
Each counter sells a limited selection of alcoholic beverages - wine, liquor, liqueurs and bottled beer - as well as non-alcoholic beverages, including bottled spring water, soft drinks and coffee. In addition, an assortment of snacks is available at each counter, including cookies, packaged candy and ice cream. Enjoy exclusive American Express Cardmember access to the Priority Bar located in the Main Lobby (east side).
Bars and concessions are open pre-show and during intermission and food and beverage can be consumed in the lobbies and auditorium.
Patrons may take all products that are sold in our lobby spaces to their seats. Outside food and drinks are not permitted in the theatre.
Bars accept debit and credit cards, Mirvish Subscriber Cards, cash and pre-paid vouchers. Contactless (tap) payment is available for all card payment methods.
