This is one of the best interviews I’ve ever seen! The perfect questions and Bill is one down to earth cool guy. What a ride he’s been on and still going in ‘23.
I grew up when the Righteous Brothers were first breaking, and loved his recollection of the origin of their name. "Righteous" was one of those terms that was popular with kids back then (like bitchen, boss, etc.) and it really worked for these guys. They proved that "soul" was color-blind.
The Righteous Brothers gave us so many great songs. My high school sweetheart and I went to see them in San Diego at the Community Concourse. They were all class. They wore tuxedos & had an awesome orchestra. They are BLUE EYED SOUL! They are my favorite duo ever. Of course their individual songs were also incredible. There were more than a few Black kids there. I know some didn't realize they were White until they got there. It is a wonderful memory. So sorry to see how Bobby died. They are legends in my mind. When todays younger kids hear their music they are blown away. God bless them for sharing their God given gift with the world.
Amazing, I remembered these guys growing up. We seem to be aging about the same. Those were so wonderful years I wouldn’t change for anything else in the world. Life was pretty basic and simple back then, easier to understand. Thanks for bringing back those wonderful memories.
I understand how you feel. I had a crush on Bill as a child, while watching them on Shindig each week. I still think he is kind of hot today and he is a few years older than me.
Beginning with1990, I attended several of their concerts, often more than one show at the same venue...with seats close to the stage, just listen to their music in person.
What a great guy. When they showed him singing at the end of this video, it was like no time had passed. Still very good looking gentleman and what a voice!!
Hello to all. Bill Medley's book "THE TIME OF MY LIFE; A RIGHTEOUS BROTHER'S MEMOIR." is a very interesting read; the story of a life filled with both major joy & intense pain, as many celebrities (& non-celebrities) are. Like too many other entertainers, his childhood was abusive. However, he did have his Faith and a few other magic charms which allowed him to thrive as both an entertainer, husband, a father and a person. It's all in the book. He's coming to Durham, NC this Sept. (2019). My husband is a fan, too. We already have our tickets. Ladies & Gentlemen: THIS MAN IS WHAT REAL TALENT & CLASS IS.
They don’t need to snip the footage Mr. Bill (class act) Medley. My only complaint is that the interview wasn’t longer. He has been the voice of some of the most beautiful music in the history of pop/r&b and that includes many releases that Phil Spector had nothing to do with. He seems to be a humble down to earth man and yes he will be forever remembered
I hope Bill Medley has watched people's reactions to "Lovin' Feelin'" on many youtube videos. People of all colors know real soul when they hear it. I feel very fortunate to have lived during the time to hear their magic.
As a fan it truely saddens me that even though he is passed away, Bobby Hatfield seems to be swept into the background during these interviews. Remember, without Bobby's amazing voice, there would be no Righteous Brothers.
You are right in what you say,Bobby always lived in the shadows of Bill.It is a well known fact that Phil Spector was very disrespectful at times towards Bobby back in the 60s when he was working with the righteous brothers.
I was 6 years old in 1990 and knew enough that “Unchained Melody” was a hot track at the time (because of its newfound fame), though I didn’t know it was because of Ghost (because I was too young to watch it).
I went to every concert of the Righteous Brothers when and not even Canton Ohio 8 to buy 3 tickets for each concert one for my sister Marie who is dead now and one for i my sister Patty myself and my sister Marie Loved loved you i still do the last concert hear the radio said you found another Bobby Hatfield there is no other Bobby Hatfield you found another partner his death broke my heart.
Shit, Bill, I thought you were dead. Also Elvis and 🐺should never be mentioned in the same paragraph. Or day...or week. Hip hop still sucks after all these years.
It’s hard to loose that loving feeling for this guy.
How do you want to be remembered? "...hopefully as a good father". And there ya go.
Wonderful music, great duo, Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield Righteous Brothers live on always!
This is one of the best interviews I’ve ever seen! The perfect questions and Bill is one down to earth cool guy. What a ride he’s been on and still going in ‘23.
He sounds like a down to earth man that fame did not destroy. Love the feeling god bless .
He always presented so well, as such a genuine person!
Love your songs still.
I sense that Bill Medley is a true gentleman.
He's such a sweetheart. Thank you for the music of our lifetime.
“Little Latin Lupe Lu”...great song to roller skate around the rink!! Have loved their music since I first heard it in 1963!!

true! I am black
Talent indeed, and I love Bill's sense of humor:) Bobby's, too.

Beautiful memory. Thank you for sharing.
@@tunes5077 You're very welcome...it is an unforgettable night.
Just Once in My Life is one of my favorites as well as See That Girl, but the reality is I love The Righteous Brothers and all their music.
My 2 favorites too❤
At that time of my life, I lived in Santa Monica. It was a rare and exciting time but that then, Bill Medley, you're the greatest,... Thank you
Amazing, I remembered these guys growing up. We seem to be aging about the same. Those were so wonderful years I wouldn’t change for anything else in the world. Life was pretty basic and simple back then, easier to understand. Thanks for bringing back those wonderful memories.
He makes my heart throb !!! I thought that part of my life was dead ! God Bless Him !

What a great guy. When they showed him singing at the end of this video, it was like no time had passed. Still very good looking gentleman and what a voice!!
Straight talk📣📣Yes Bill is still fine. I always loved to listen to that fine, tall, skinny man with the magnanimous voice.❤❤❤❤
Shame he said such nasty thinks about Bobby in his book.
The ghost of Bobby Hatfield is in the interviewer.
Yes, yes, yes, that is EXACTLY what I was thinking, every time the camera spanned back to the interviewer, I could see Bobby Hatfield! Unbelievable!
Extremely gifted singers!!!

Thankyou for sharing this....
😢 is it true that he tarnish Bobby in the book ? He sure can thank Bobby for achieving fame !!
Dude interviewer - he let the man talk and asked great questions with great timing.
Those were great times.
Beautiful songs!!!
There are a lot of fantastic singers. But as far as I'm concerned, Bill Medley is ONE OF A KIND! 💖
Brilliant interview Bill, you and Bobby are absolute legends! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your amazing journey!!
Love this .. Love the RB
He has the Family , his Healrh and a positive disposition !! How blessed !!
What a fantastic talent and generous person ... God bless !

Bill has the kind of voice that really catches your attention if you speak to him on the phone.
I love everything they sang ❤
Excellent interview and very memorable.
Thank you ! Peace & Love ❤️
Saw him in Vegas a few years ago. He’s still fantastic!!
I hope Bill Medley has watched people's reactions to "Lovin' Feelin'" on many youtube videos. People of all colors know real soul when they hear it. I feel very fortunate to have lived during the time to hear their magic.
I worked Nightclub Security for Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield way back in 1985, and he has not changed a bit.
Legend
Thanks for the interview
Class act!

Did Boby subcom to drugs? Is that what took his life ? He was a great singer.
They are both fantastic singers, and we needed both to make those Brothers Righteous!
boat buddy yes, I believe they found drugs in him and clogged arteries I believe.
Yes I wish he would ha e elaborated in Bobby Hatfield. perhaps it is still too hard.
How very nice! I really enjoyed the down to earth interview 💕 What an Amazing talent and Gracious Man!
Blue eyed soul! Beatles ain't got shit on Bill and Bobby
The interviewer has a striking resemblance to Bobby.
I noticed. I wonder how Bill felt because the resemblance was eerie.
Yes I noticed that too
What a lovely man… very grounded.
I watched “Cheers” for years and that episode was so funny….it then Morphed into “Frasier” which was just as good…..
Love the Righteous Brothers music
I absolutely love this man!
I love soul and inspiration way better, than unchained melody. Just me.
Both amazing songs, but Unchained Melody is stellar.
I was 6 years old in 1990 and knew enough that “Unchained Melody” was a hot track at the time (because of its newfound fame), though I didn’t know it was because of Ghost (because I was too young to watch it).
A fun interview.

Beautiful song😊😊❤❤
I really liked him, I don’t understand his book or his Statements about Bobby.
My Favorite Just once in my Life
A movie should be made about the righteous brothers. It would be a good movie.
Before Vietnam took most of us into the military in 1968, the Righteous Brothers provided great sounds for those working summers at the beach
Is That Bobby's Son?
Some say Will Ferrell's uncle is Bill Medley, I think so!
I have often wondered was Bill shy??? he always seemed to look it when singing?
I was there and you brought the house down till the Beatles came on.
This interviewer looks... a lot like Bobby.
Please, when interviewing a legend, don’t ask silly questions like what they had for breakfast.
Bobby Hatfield made Bill Medley famous…..
Shit, Bill, I thought you were dead. Also Elvis and 🐺should never be mentioned in the same paragraph. Or day...or week. Hip hop still sucks after all these years.
bill medley looks like roger waters a little
Yes he does, very much so
Such a gentleman
Bill is better looking!
