I am a 75yr old female living in the USA, I was having ear trouble, I had to have my ears cleaned, and the apn said my station tube were stopped and up prescribed a nasal spray . It didn't work. I asked for the Ent doctor to exam my ears because I could hear the a swishing like a heart beat, he ordered a CT scan, my ear drum was about to bust. He had to open it to release the pressure. The scan also showed that my carotid was 80% blocked, and I had a carotid endorectomy with a stint placement . I have been a subscriber of your channel a long time and followed your advice . Don't wait if you're feeling something is not right with your ears. Thank you so much for your education 🙏

I'm a 70 year old woman living in the USA. I have never had my ears cleared of wax. I had a DR. appointment last week and specifically had the DR check my ears - no wax build up at all. She could see my eardrum and said it looked great. (BTW - she watches you channel also). Is there a reason some people have issues with wax build-up and others do not? I do use "earbuds"/"Q-tips" to clean the outer edge of my ear after a shower but that is it. Keep doing the great work that you do.
I wondered that too. I'm 66 and bought one of those cheap little cameras to look in my ears and they look pretty good. I'm even one of those people that use Q-tips... shh! Don't tell anyone.
Wax production is genetic. The epitheleal migration may work very well in you and keeps moving wax/dead skin. Also i rarely produce wax but have a decent amount of the oil that is produced by the glandrg
A lot of things can influence it. Humidity of the area you live in is a factor, in a drier area you’ll get drier wax (probably more likely to get stuck). The specific makeup of your earwax can vary with genetics, some people naturally have different types of ear wax. theres one big difference between a type called dry more commonly seen in East Asian people and the more common wet type, and how much your body produces is also variable from person to person

I have talked to my doctor about this issue but there was nothing to do at that time i guess. So, if it is possible could you also share some tips how to prevent this type of pain caused by the pressure in the plane

Just googled ear wax removal with suction near me (I am in North Carolina) and there is no where that does suction but apparently all of our Walgreens and CVS Pharmacies do irrigation
Hi guys, I have a question about general ear health. Can you please tell me (us) about what, if anything happens to our ears from using earbuds. Especially for long times. I use them for hours at a time at work, and actually own 2 pairs so I have a pair to use when the other is changing, that way I always have a air in my ears listen to tunes or YOUR WONDER VIDEOS during the day. (At reasonable volume for sure. I was thinking more on the lines of the constant music rhythms. and the sweat, since ear buds are not put as far into ears as hearing aids, I assume. And music has constantly low base repetition of bass
Not sure why I had issues getting the membership to work, but after logging into a laptop instead of my iPhone, I’M IN! Google/YT needs to get over their hate for iPhone users! 🤣 Love y’all!

You both had me in laughing in the beginning. You both do great with on the ears. I let my family know not to place anything into their ears but to see an audiologist.
When I was a kid my GP would use a giant syringe with warm water and flush our ears out. Why is that no longer in practice? Seems practical to me....maybe not?
I am a self-proclaimed clean freak about all things. It bugs me when the canal is not cleaned all the way, my issues, clearly. Rhys or Taylor, couldn't you use a cotton bud just to wipe all that away? If it was mine and you wouldn't do it, I would go home and do it for myself ( bad, I know). I am lucky that I have no wax in my ears either and I confess that I do use them to clean the outer part of my ear.
I've never tasted my wax, but my cats seem to want to lick my finger after I've scratched inside my ear. 😂 I don't produce much wax anyways. My PCP looked in my ears and said "you've got the cleanest ears! Not a flake in sight!"😂😂😂

i know you said not to comment what earwax tastes like, but i'm surprised you've never accidentally gotten your own earwax into your mouth, especially as a child. i suppose you are less likely than the average person to stick your fingers in your ear though
I have no idea what ear wax tastes like but we had a cat who went crazy for it. If you’d put your finger in your ear she would lick it for ages. She’d get up on the back of the sofa to try and lick your ears. Maybe it’s like catnip?!?! 😂

Genetic and age. As we age our skin dries out. I use a spray of olive oil now and again and my ears stay clear.

I have psoriasis in the beginning of my ear and use oil, but it has a scab and I can't pick it, it hurts so. I am afraid to go to the doctor. I am 83
Your gp should send you to an ent or a dermatologist depending on what it is. I would go if the spot is bothering you

Find any of their hearing aid patients. 😅 it causes some blockages.
