beautiful ride sir, but I could not help but notice you did not use the slow roll on of the throttle as you exited the bends, this would and indeed could improve your lap times. I am new to this big V-twin but I have owned a 750 Vfour and found this method a godsend when competing with the buzzy 4 cylinders inline fours. METHOD: trailing brake or engine braking to steady speed into the corner and settle the bike(select a gear you are happy with/torquey or smoothe) and halfway through the Apex I roll the throttle on and literally catapult out of the bend:) I used to do this on a VFR 400RR and the results were amazing I was never at the front of the pack(they left me on the straights) but in the bends I found this method faster on entry, controlled and dam fast out of the bends. Loved the video and bless you:)
loved the video mate:) This MACHINE has BAGS OF UMPH with no drama, I LOVE IT:) PS I OWN THIS MACHINE AND IT IS A DREAM TO RIDE AT ANY SPEED, I AM VERY SAD IT WILL BE PRODUCED NO MORE! !( 48MM CARBS 31 MPG I CAN AND REGLARY LIVE WITH FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF A LIFETIME:) I ride in a fast group to Matlock and never hold back!! R1 GSXR ZX I CAN AND WILL ALWAYS COMPETE LOL:)
I still feel(as I would have) roll the throttle on a little earlier as this is the nature of the beast) and the straights should be abused whenever possible on this machine. I own one of these machines and it begs for the throttle to be rolled ON, I previously owned a VFR 400RR and always rolled the throttle mid apex when I knew the bend was opening up and I beat many a 600, I am eager to try my new stead in this technique but I can tell you from the four power this should work on a mighty Vtwin, my learned friend. Safe riding and I loved the video:)
Oddly relaxing video. I am glad the sound quality wasn't distorted by wind as in most cases. I'd like to go on a track some day, but at my own pace without too much pressure or pros overtaking me every second. Are there usually quieter days or sessions for noobs? How did you start?
VTR firestorm 1998! REPREZENT!!!

8:29,10:07.white sweater blue pants guy seems like he thought the point of the ride was to touch his knee to the tarmac.

The diversity in that traffic, it's beautiful. Strange, on a racing track maybe, but beautiful. Almost like a daily commute ;-)
