It was so great to see two of my favorite sailing RUclips channels, together ! That whole 'vacation' must has been MASSIVELY fun, it sure looked like fun!
This has been my fav vid of yours. It has nothing to do with the the production quality. It has everything to do with watching you two have so much fun and letting us into the spirit of your life! Keep smiling, as it brings a smile to my face (and I assume many others).
Yeah guys. kudos to both Monday Never and Case the Story, both your respective travels are great to watch. What an experience to meet up with another set of travelers and be able to plan and have the great experience to have a great time with each other. It looked like you had a great party, fun for all. Great video, I cannot wait to see more from both of you
Great to see all of you guys hanging out together. I follow both of your channels and it's really nice to see you get together and have a great time!!! Living the good life through you until I get my own boat and then maybe I'll catch up with you too👍👍⚓️
Great collaboration. I had a little chuckle to myself when you picked up the rod and held it upside down. Well upside down for Ryan and Tash anyway. Love you both.
This is so cool, that you got to spend time with Cheeky Monkey crew. I have been following both of your channels for a while. I am sure you will run into each other in another port at some time. Just know you have met kindred spirits, and a lifetime friendship.
LOVE the collab video! I'm betting there's going to be a lot more collaboration videos in the cruising youtube community in the next few years. And hell yeah at the "I'm afraid of sharks, not afraid of life" thing. I feel the same way. I'm not too worried about the long term future, I can figure things out, and it's all worth it to not need to work a 9-5 for the rest of my life.
hi Will and Cat. wonderful videos. I was with some friends, one of whom out of no where talked about a wonderful video, Monday Never! you have a lot of fans! best wishes b - san fran
Great video guys, thanks so much for sharing!! You have chosen a fantastic life, not in the everyday rut and ending up all at once too old to enjoy it!! Keep it up, have fun, be safe, and will be watching for your next vid! Oh, I couldn't ne'er stand what you said about the yellow tail you caught? Wether you could eat it or not? Walt
+Walt G Thanks Walt! Regarding the fish, I was a little worried about ciguatera, which is a bioaccumulating toxin that certain fish in certain regions can have. But no risk with that fish! - cheers, Cat
Great episode , best so far and cool that you caught up with Cheeky Monkey, you need to show them how to use a Gaff to pull fish onto the boat, that Net they are using will be way to small for the fish we get in the Pacific and South East Asia.
hey Will and Cat...like your vids and just needed to know what video cameras all of you were using and what is the differences in price and quality? I could definitely tell Bruna had the top of the line camera. Also what video editing software do you all use. Thanks and fair winds!
+Sailor Jared hey Jared! We have our camera info in our About Us tab here on RUclips. The DSLR has better picture quality than the camcorder, but not as good of a stabilizer, so the footage is shakier. But both pieces of equipment were about $400 each. Bruna's camera is professional grade (in the $3,000 range I think) with some seriously nice lenses too. Maybe one day we'll be in a position to upgrade... I edit in Premier Pro. Hope that helps! - Cat
a common theme across many sailing blogs is a lot of young attractive scantily clad, or topless, intoxicated people crammed in small places. i bet you see a lot or hear a lot of crazy stories. i mean if you want to share any what ever im ok with it haha
greetings cat and will, i was wondering if you could ask brunna what tripod she has on her camera at 14:28 approx, in the film. i am a photographer and now diving into the world of video. love to know what she suggest for this. hers looks great for travel. Also if you have a suggestion, love to know. thank you for your time. by the way, love you two, your adventures and all you are! you are living my dream and i hope to meet you someday along the way on the waters. thanks for sharing and all your inspiration!
OK, I've got to ask....at the end of this video I see you jumping off the back of the Willie T at the Bight on Norman Island BVI. I've been there a few times. Did you get a FREE Tee Shirt? Inquiring minds need to know.
Maybe...Maybe not depending on your perspective. Next time ask them, "What does it take to get a free Tee Shirt." When they answer that question you'll look at each other and say, "OHHHH so that's what he's talking about." Just so you'll know, we bought our own tee shirts. We really enjoy the videos keep up the good work.
+Tardif Country Someday! Hopefully we'll do a circumnavigation at some point and that would be catamaran all the way. We'll need to go back to work for a while though in order to be able to afford that kind of trip.
Nice video of Anguilla. You missed some very important facts about Anguilla. The "Anguilla Boats" that you saw at Marisco Del Mar were the smaller versions of the well known racing boats. Boat racing is the national sport of Anguilla. These boat races started when the first Anguillan's would travel to the Dominican Republic to work in the sugar cane fields for money and supplies. They would always race back to Anguilla. This is where this tradition started. I've seen some of your videos, and my compliments for being done well. In my opinion, it would have been better if you would have put a little more effort in showcasing the islands you visited. FYI, I'm a boatie, and my big blue and white boat with the wind generator in Sandy Ground is in this video. My wife and I have sailed the Caribbean for the past 12 years. Oh! BTW, Blackfin tuna tastes terrible as was seen in your face on one of your videos as you ate it sushimi style.. They are bottom of the Tuna chain so to speak.
+lisarob5767 Advantages and disadvantages for both and a long debated subject - Cats are like RV's great to live aboard but expensive -with 2 x engines, more expensive for marinas, terrible upwind sailing - I'm a monohull person because we like to sail but choice wise if it were a live-aboard Mmm Nice big cat please.
There seems to be a lot of truth in humor, "Monday Always". Is boat maintenance challenging and rewarding or mostly a pain in the butt that limits the positive experience? Thanks.
+lisarob5767 Depends on the day you ask. In the midst of the problems, it can be miserable. So much mental energy expended fretting about what, how, and where do I get parts. When its fixed, it feels good. I'd rather not have to fix anything, but it does provide lessons in self-reliance and mechanics. It doesn't limit positive experience (most of the time) - it just seems to be the yin to the yang with cruising a sailboat.
+Monday Never Peter here - I have just completed a full engine service but yet to find a genuine alternator belt in stock Arghh. I had the same conversation with Riley from La Vagabond in Bonaire and we both came to the conclusion that its not all Pina Coladas and white sand. It's good to show within the vids that you have to learn quickly, be self reliant, definitely determined or suffer the consequences meaning getting ripped off in the next port by the guy walking around with a screwdriver calling himself an engineer and your best new friend. Remember BOAT = Bring Out Another Thousand - Happy Days
How do you guys afford to do this. Do you guys not have Jobs? I love your videos and hope you guys keep making them. Look forward to getting some answers.
Hey Luke! We saved super aggressively for about 3 years to make this dream come true. Now, we're living off of our savings... for as long as that's possible. To help with the production cost of the videos, we also rely on our WONDERFUL patrons (www.patreon.com/mondaynever).
There are enough Lagoon 380 Catamaran's for sale in Europe, especially Southern Europe and not for the crazy money American's ask for these exact same second hand Catamaran's either. A good second hand Lagoon 380 Cat from 2000 to 2006 runs for €120,000,- to €170,000,- and really anything in between, in the US they (from the same years btw) run for $270,000,- to I've seen $475,000,- ⬅ which is nuts 😲, never buy those ! ( €0,88 = $1,- ).
What fun to be with Ryan and Tasha....very sweet of them to invite y'all.
It was so great to see two of my favorite sailing RUclips channels, together ! That whole 'vacation' must has been MASSIVELY fun, it sure looked like fun!

Thats the whole reason we started our youtube channel. We want to have friends in every port. Thats so awesome. Great video.
Enjoy both of your channels and it was great to see you connect and share the beauty of the cruising community together.
Yeah guys. kudos to both Monday Never and Case the Story, both your respective travels are great to watch. Seeing two of my favorite sailing channels overlap is (for someone who is landlocked) like watching a superhero crossover. I Loved it.
That moment when two of the BEST youtube sailing vlogs cross paths is amazing ;-)
Great to see all of you guys hanging out together. I follow both of your channels and it's really nice to see you get together and have a great time!!! Living the good life through you until I get my own boat and then maybe I'll catch up with you too👍👍⚓️

Cat taught us a LOT about fishing when she was onboard and we're better for it!! We have a gaff now too - we're ready for the Pacific!!
Friggin awesome!!
Loving these video's trying to catch up. wow, that FP Helia is beautiful was the decks teak, or was that SeaDek faux teak material?

What Camera Gear do you use as I think the video quality is great?
Man this is old. Nice videos.
good stuff.
Love your videos! How do you fund your adventures?
can someone tell me the name of the artist who sings the song at the end of this video?thanks so much for posting

Hi Ema - I'm pretty sure it's this tripod: amzn.to/2a1QkyB
Hope that helps!
thank you! so much appreciated. happy sailing!
What is the name of background music on the Anguilla episode in town
+allen jacobs I found it from Epidemic Sound (a subscription royalty free music platform I just started using). It's called "I Got You".
OK, I've got to ask....at the end of this video I see you jumping off the back of the Willie T at the Bight on Norman Island BVI. I've been there a few times. Did you get a FREE Tee Shirt? Inquiring minds need to know.
+LEE CUMMINGS Free t-shirt? No! Oh man, didn't know that was a possibility. Guess we missed out...
Maybe...Maybe not depending on your perspective. Next time ask them, "What does it take to get a free Tee Shirt." haha, ok. I think I'm getting your gist...Think we'll pass on that one and buy our tshirts too :)
Are you thinking Catamaran in the future?
+Tardif Country Someday! Hopefully we'll do a circumnavigation at some point and that would be catamaran all the way. We'll need to go back to work for a while though in order to be able to afford that kind of trip.
what is the song about 13 min in?

Is it "Ann-gwilla" or "An-GEE-ya"?
5:57 "Subsizeable" did you just make that word up?
+kp1832000 oh yes, completely.
+Monday Never haha awesome
So, if you had to do over again, would you go cat or mono?
+Sailing SV Pau Hana (SV Pau Hana) If it had been in the budget, catamaran every time, but we knew that long before we started this trip.
I'm wondering the same.
DAMN! your camera is crisp!
catamaran more fun, yes maybe for living, but hey sailors can use monohulls no problem

Monday Never Good luck,...so maybe next season it's a catamaran 😉.
