She seems like the type of woman who marries a dangerous inmate who's doing 25 to life for a violent heinous crime. "Randall is just misunderstood. I know he kidnapped, gRaped, murdered, & dismembered 6 young children, but that was almost 2 years ago. He's learned from his mistakes & is a different person now".

I worked for the NC Dept. Of Corrections as did most of my family. There were inmates that held jobs in the enterprise factory that generated products used by other state agencies, road signs, printed forms and documents and license plates. These inmates were paid $.50 per day placed in an account that followed them if they were transferred to another facility. Other inmates held custodial responsibilities in the dormitories, they were paid with a point system that allowed them to pick which dorm they wanted to live in, all others were not paid in points or money, they were assigned accommodations without any choice involved on their part. Like someone said, prison is punishment, not a job for which they should be paid, inmates are paying a debt to society for a crime committed against society.

So you have an incarcerated 20 year old being provided with shelter, food, clothing and medical, paid for by us, the tax payers and she believes they should be paid the same as a law abiding, 20 year old working and has all the expenses of having to pay for their own housing, food, clothing and medical? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. This whole country has gone nuts!

thinking this trough, if society pays prisoner for actual work performed at minimum wage only. They they should reimburse tax payers room and board, court fees, prison fees, probation fees, victim restitution, they pay SS, workmans comp, execution fees, all legal fees, any and all expenses from the time they are arrested to the time they are released off probation. Included law enforcement that ended up arresting them. To include all medical expenses, facility costs, guard cost...... No expense overlooked. No exceptions no breaks. Finally, we could have games where we pardon one person that participates in a fight to the death the finish and televise it. Winner take all (okay their freedom) The television rights would be like pay per view to help pay for prisoner expenses.
