- A ten minute sequence I threw together, showing the highs, the lows and the truly epic moments of one of the finest Sci-Fi programmes ever made.
I don't own any rights to any of it all. But these moments must be watched.
The menu song is taken from The PS1 Die Hard trilogy game.

I love that Crichton expresses himself almost entirely in cultural references in a place where they are completely meaningless.
It is his attempt to stay sane yet leads everyone else to think he is mad and babbling nonsense.
imagine if the show went on longer. They could of done a ep with the crew trapped in the TV set they took from earth living through films that reflect their characters. And John would get to jump from film to film. By the end have Aeryn make a pop culture reference
YES. Dude I wanna see a gag reel with all of his pop cultural references. Actually I came here in hope to find some of them.

It was the writer's way of playing up the differences in the characters culture given the fact everyone de-facto spoke English.
It was brilliant.
I don´t think Crichton cares about what they think of him. I think he´s just having fun. Like: I´m in jeopardy every day, no matter what I do, so I might as well have fun. Carry a gun all the time, name it after my favourite actress etc.

Easily one if the best sci-fi series ever made, this show had balls and style. Nothing today stands up to farscape.
I still can't believe how some of the scenes got greenlit. I mean there's some pretty raunchy stuff in there that you don't see in your typical sci fi shows. TBH some disgusting stuff as well but it fits with the whole feel of the show. They made it work. And you can take nothing away from the story. Some bold choices there as well.
Farscape is easily the best sci fi show but it's an absolute shame that its not as popular as it deserves to be.

If a name could truly mark your character and destiny, D'Argo Sun Crighton has the ring of a great warrior king.
Crichton was not a warrior, rather a worrier ... And DArgo was not only a warrior, but so much more. None of them was a king (Crichton turned that offer down) - what´s with that king complex? And the boy has some Pilot DNA as well! So maybe not a warrior, but a kickass, if he has to be!

Man, all these years later and it still makes the hairs on my neck stand up.

D'Argo: "Fear accompanies the possibility of death. Calm shepherds it's certainty."
Crichton: "I love hangin' with you, man."
Yeah that last D'Argo line is dope
My favorite exchange is also from "Lava"
Crichton: "What if next time there's a thousand of them?"
D'Argo: "A thousand of THESE guys? We should be so lucky!"

I love that most of this is literally their best buddy episode. Scratch n Sniff was absolutely perfect (Crichton's scream kills me every time)

yeah a farscape reimagined cause that is the best way to make a new one is in an alternate reality where everything was a bit different

@@hundetuem Farscape doesn't need to break canon to reboot. It's already got a built in multiverse.

And fitting to end a best of with Ka D'argo being what he alway's was, a soldier, a warrior, a hero. RIP dude... best end of a series even after Babylon 5's emotional scutteling by far. THAT is why those old scifi are better than Trek. The competition was unfair back then. These day's? People start to see that those underrated ones are in fact BETTER. B5 sees its ressurection, and i hope they continue with Moya, Pilot and D'argo in a new Farscape series. DONT YOU DARE, Remake it! Its good as it is, far outperforming Trek.
Yes! Make a next generation and use the previous cast. They´re still there, and they look awesome!

So many times I've watched this show, the part when Dargo tells China he loves her and she says it back, my heart breaks, each and every time.

I'm already broken with John's little "I'm gonna miss you" before D'argo dies. That was half character to character, half actor to actor

@@zanafar5258 . War occured due to an invasion of a species from outside the galaxy. Noranti died, Sputnik died along with her entire race, Jothee died. Deke grew up and told the events of the War For The Uncharted Territories to a group of children many decades later.
I loved the _Stargate: SG1_ parody of _Farscape_ with the Stargate cast.
Funny, heart breaking, badass, and bonkers, often all within a single episode. Deranged genius all round.
The greatest show in space. Time to watch it from the beginning again, season 1/episode 1. 😁

I HATED that they killed D'Argo off. His Bromance with Crichton was almost as important as Crichton and Aeryn.
That's what made it hit so hard man. I hate that they killed him too but he went out like the frelling badass he is.

I want more! This has to be hands down the best sci fi series ever,with the best strong female characters. I do hope rumours are true and we get more Farscape!

This was trippy on the level of some of those sci fi shows in the 70s and 80s but better effects.
Ah dammit I told myself I wouldn't get choked up. DAMMIT. One of the most painful scenes ever. Right up there with Mustafar and the destruction of the Enterprise (Search for Spock)

They start off as enemies. Near the end Dargo thinks he's proposing, and will hear him out even when his girl is literally riding.

There is the 25th anniversary blue ray box. I can only recommend it. This show is like no other!

They were still trying as recently as last year and seemed to be building momentum for it before the Covid crap hit.
If it does return, and I have hope that it will, then it shall return in glory and hopefully claim the popularisation that it deserves
