  • Im taking out my old 3.31 out of my 94 8.8 cobra rear end and swapping in some 4.10 gears. This is not a how to video. DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!

    You will know if the rear is set up wrong rather quickly on the first drive lol Should be fine tho send it

    Hey, I got a question for you. What did it feel like going from 331 to 4:10 I got the exact same gear ratio and I want to go to 410.

      Great for 1/8 mile racing. Won't make it thru the quater in a 3 speed 😅 but great acceleration

    Did you change the bearing races for the pinion? Looks like your pattern is off a bit, probably could have used some pinion shims.

      I agree. That was bad information and misleading saying that that pattern was OK. That was not a good pattern. That pattern can cause premature differential failure.

    Do you think going from 3.23's on a 21' Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 5.3L to 4.30's is overkill? I'm on long hwy drives (state to state) and I put 37's with a 9" lift a mth ago..I really would hate to lose anymore mpgs but it is what it is..I'd rather save my transmission in the long run
    4.10 or 4.30?

      4.10 is alot but manageable especially with the 10 speed transmission behind it

    So do i need the 2 gears to change the ratio? I wanna go to the junkyard and get 4.10 for my explorer

      Yes, youll need the ring and pinion gear in order to change the ratio

    Mild up grades on engine would you recommend 4.10 gears I don’t really go on highways often mostly street what you guys think

      Honestly 4.10 gears on the street work well. Depends on transmission as well. 3 speed on the street is fine but highway awful.

      @@Cawbee will I had 3.55 I think that’s what they said when I bought the car but gears went out through the diff cover 🤦🏽‍♂️

      @@elieli1347 oof. Yeah going from 3.55 to 4.10 is a world of difference in acceleration

      Zero. Working great! 60fts hard. I'm actually putting an 3.55 in it now to see if I can go a quater mile without hitting rev limiter in 3rd
