I sure enjoyed this episode. No murder or overt crime of any kind. Just a frustrated husband. Glad it all worked out & that Sgt. Friday got his buck back. I knew he & his partner wouldn't accept the cigarettes. That wouldn't have been allowed & could be considered a bribe. As always, thank you for sharing these wonderful episodes with us. I am a big fan of old radio shows. Thank heavens there are literally thousands of them that can heard online for free.

How awful to have lived in the fifties with all these stupid cigarette commercials. If only Jack Webb had quit smoking, maybe he would have lived longer.
And maybe not; fact is I used to pay 3x the normal rate for a pack of cigarettes to smoke Sherman “Naturals” cigarettes, pure Turkish tobacco, real cork filter, great quality, and enjoyed the hell out of it. Cup of coffee or double scotch and a Sherman was my idea of a good relaxing time. Yeah, it was hard on my lungs, what’s your point? I quit after 20 years and 31 years later still miss it. Yeah, he might have lived longer had he not smoked, but life is a trade off, so I don’t blame him.
