One of the best live performances I have ever seen (would have been 'the' best if not for the extremely slow 3rd mov, brave but stretching the music a little too much imo). i love the poster headline 'Midday Masterpieces' - I hope this audience appreciated what they were present at. Also, Fazioli beats Steinway. Beautiful sound.

Very clever, to choose such a small room for a grand piano recital, and full of materials that absolutely do not absorb sound, so your audience will become deaf after the performance, bravo, organizers.
Obiwan88 You clearly fail to realize this is an elite venue that hosts todays top musicians. Do you really think the piano hasn’t been voiced for the hall?? If you don’t know what that means, look it up and educate yourself.
Music should be used, not worshipped; it should be lived with. Those senior citizens may fall asleep, they may indeed unwrap cough drops etc etc. So what. Kate Liu gets the most beautiful music out of her piano. The sun, when it goes up or down and beautifully colors the sky, does not care if anybody notices. At least Kate Liu plays as if she was a sun. She is a sun!
@@mkryu I thought they did remarkably well considering! A long piece taxing on their stamina, no breaks allowed between movements. I would expect a lot more coughing normally. Some buffoons phone went off at the end of the 1st mov, though,

It’s usually the case with classical music concerts and recitals. They’re notorious for the crinkle noises when they try to unwrap a cough drop. Lol
