Adept Charge Blade vs Boltreaver EX practice | MHGU

Plenty of mistakes here but it was a fun, messy hunt. I've picked up adept CB a while ago, figured I'd put something out since it's been a while and it's pretty hard to find any decent adept CB video.
Upside of adept CB is that it's really comfy to use, but the fact that you're locked into adept dodge upon rolling into attacks actually limits your AED options quite a bit compared to other styles.
Also yes I have artillery expert on this, so I could eat for Moxie instead of Bombardier and allow myself to be able to lose a one-shot gamble on an AED punish once without dying.

Tbh the "time wasted" from the shielding misinputs timed and optimized the attacks rather good afterwards

how come you dont take knockback when switching to axe mode 3:45 ?

I'd have taken knockback if it'd been regular Astalos's wingslam. Boltreaver has less knockback on its wingslam for some reason. Just having red shield is enough to do morph GP on it.

The wingslam is a composite hitbox, there is the wing part and there is a small explosion hitbox. If you guard the wing you will take big knockback but if you only guard the explosion you can take little enough knockback to be able to morph through it.
