Good tips. I’m watching my brothers GSD and she loves frisbee fetch. She is a natural thought, I had to relearn how to throw again and felt horrible for screwing up for her sake but she could care less haha. The ultimate is when they catch one you thought they couldn’t catch up to. Get a good 5 frisbees because you will be spending all day running around after your dog if you don’t have another frisbee waiting to throw.
Neither did I, Tony! I can throw a disc so much farther now! Carol has so many other cool disc dog tips that I’ll have to publish another video sometime soon. Thanks for watching! ~Ken
Liked the part with doing it with old dogs. Our old girl would have killed herself (literally) to do the frisbee like we used to do when she was young. Nevertheless, the modifications we did with the frisbee and the ball still allowed her to do what a dog like likes to do!
Quick QUESTION: As a 4-H Dog Agility Leader, I was taught to measure each dog from the withers to ground in order to place the jumps & tire at the correct height, and in Judging, the "A" Frame, teeter & dog walk had their safety marks that were required to be met by the dog. With Frisbee play, don't you also have the same height restrictions? I've never heard of anyone addressing this.
Are there any discs that are more stable or require less hyzer to throw straight with power ? I’m a disc golfer and I throw hyzer on a vertical line and sometimes it works and other times it dumps over completely?
@McCann Dog How do you teach a Chihuahua to go in a carrier i tryed treats but she wont budge i think she afraid of the carrier. And she loves treats. I have to push her butt in to get her inside
Hi there, Dale! I’ve found that I like the Hyperflite Jawz discs are really durable. They offer those in a few different variations. I actually have an affiliate link for the discs I have used. Here’s the link to check out: amzn.to/38OQKqA Have fun, Happy Training ~Ken
Hi there! There are a few different dog-specific discs out there. There are different weights and different materials. I’d suggest taking a look at a couple of different materials to try with your dog to find the right one for them! Make sure they are made for dogs specifically since they’re usually made to be a little more resilient than normal discs! Thanks for watching! ~Ken

Are these discs made of hard material? I actually have a rubber one for my bc. Should I buy a hard one?
Hello! I have Buddy also! He is a beagle!
It's harder for me to learn to throw a frisbee than it is for my dog to catch it, haha.
If you have made a video of "How to Train Your Puppy to Catch a Frisbee (or disc)," a link below would be VERY HELPFUL. Thanks!!
Those little discs at the end, do you know what size they are? They look perfect for our pup. 7 or 10 inch?
Tyler Simpson they are referred to as pup discs. You can look up Hero discs or Hyperflyte discs. Both are manufacturers of discs made for dogs.

Hi there! What kind of carrier are you talking about? ~Ken

@@McCannDogs okay, thank you very much.
If you have a hard biting dog I’d recommend the hyperflite jawz disc or the hero disc superhero, both are dog safe and very durable
@@barkside39 thanks
