Gran Pros
BOOT > Vorpal Blade. Boot is just that good in more situations.
Gran sweep is still dumb good and unfortunate Djeeta couldn’t copy that one lol
Gran SSBA can be made reliably safe while Djeeta’s will get you punished for days
Gran’s version of their shared normals are safer in general.
Gran’s unique action is more consistent on landing in general
Djeeta pros
Djeeta Fireball > Gran Fireball. Gran Fireball travels faster, but Djeeta’s has more situational use.
Djeeta Eternal Skybound is better then Grans normal skybound when you go technical
Djeeta has a bit more range on more of her normals.
Summed it up well. The key differences is the BOOT and the fireball. Gran's fireball is actually better for pressure due to its speed if your opponent does not know how to dodge well. Djeeta's on the other hand is better for mixing up coz it can be delayed. Basically Ryu fireball (faster) vs Ken fireball (slower, more technical use). BOOT is basically Ryu's 1hit tatsu vs Vorpal being Ken's multi hit tatsu. But in this case BOOT is just far far too good. Everything about it shitkicks anything Vorpal has to offer, there is no comparison. BOOT is just TOO good.
IMO Gran is the better pick right now coz of his sweep and BOOT. Those two moves are so good they put him a full tier up. If either move gets nerfed, especially BOOT, he'll drop in tier very fast. BOOT is what makes Gran high tier. Their SBA also is Shinkuu Hadoken vs Shinryuken... that's actually a BIG diff.

@@ChaosProductionsInc That Skybound Art is Midare Zakura. Heel attack is that stomp equivalent, athough you can't do three times. BOOT Equivalent is more of a Shunpuukyaku, because of the multihit knockdown (Ken's Senpuukyaku is multihit, but no knockdown until last hit.)
Played shotoclones and can recognize them, even if I don't posses GBVS.

The Skybound Art is really inspired on Geese and Rock Howard's Deadly Rave move (and how it's executed on manual mode), with a nod to Noctis from FFXV with the ethereal weapons she summons and to Dragon Ball Super's SSJ Blue transformation.
Doing it manually is hard to pull off, but you do deal an extra bit of damage, no just look cooler with the blue hair and eyes.
Gran represents a new player, Djeeta represents a player who's played and purchased content for five years.
Now that’s dope. The same character but different. It’s like ryu and evil ryu. You don’t think they would be different but they are, while sharing the same characteristics.
Why does Djeeta have access to more powers while Gran doesn’t? I really wanna know the lore behind these characters.
Gran is basically a day 1 Granblue Fantasy player, meanwhile Djeeta is a late game no lifer.

In seriousness, Gran and Djeeta, since they're the player avatar, technically have the same power. It's a matter of how they're portrayed in media. In the anime it follows Gran's journey as the protag, while Djeeta is the protagonist in the extra episodes. The thing that differentiates them is the personalities they show. Gran is shown as serious, hardworking, nervous as times but always determined and kind.
Djeeta is more or less how they show her in gbfvs. Bubbly, happy go lucky, bit airheaded at times but seriously confident and strong to the point she is almost a Mary Sue.
Just making sure, these distinctions I'm mentioning is only in the anime, in the mobage they're avatars with more or less the same dialogue options but some characters react differently between the 2 genders. The joke is like 90% of the GBF playerbase use Djeeta just cause lol

ArkAurelius Thanks for the explanation, I was about to label Djeeta as a Mary Sue because of my own misconceptions, but yea I’ve only heard of this series as the fighting game and not whatever branches it has. It’s pretty cool how the dev team of the game know the fandom’s eccentricities and use that to their advantage when adding characters to the fighting game. For me tho, I’m just gonna stick to the fighting game and learn through the lore.
@@leolionheart3982 Whatever differences you see, they're not really relevant. Word of god says they're the exact same character, the whole "power difference" is just unintentional as they were just trying to differentiate them a bit aesthetically so that they don't overlap too much.

So how is she gameplay-wise similar to Ken Masters? Special moves that set up for further combos (Ken), instead of special moves that knock the opponent out in 1-hit (Ryu)?

Gran is mostly basic but has been the *OG MC* since the start of the series. Djeeta on the other hand is the more *verstile MC* owning a *wider lineup* that easily *outclasses* Gran. also as *both share a leadership/protector realtionship with Lyria (who's been *The Poster Girl Face* since the start of the GBF series) she's *needed* to be to unleash there *SkyArt's Ultimate Attack* of summoning Bahamut to *NUKE* whoever stands in there way. Gran ends fights by *brute forcing threw em as flashy as possible* while Djeeta ends her fights *in style* 😐

@@zenossaki way is see it Kat is Ryu,Djeeta is Ken,Gran is Sakuraor the inverse for Gran and Kat because Gran is more raw power and strikes while djeeta Has the same potiential but is more trained and skilled than Gran and Katalina being their shared senior and mentor I consider a ryu due to her being ahead them I'm year in swordsmanship

Basically Alph series story wise Sakura had potiential but wasn't as well versed in Training like ryu and Ken and basically copied ryu and Gran must be the same while he was sparring with Katalina but like I also said Gran could be the Ryu of this game while Djeeta is the Ken being more of a Prodigy than Gran and representing the fandom level grinding and Katalina could be consider the Akuma but that just my theory.
