Gallery walks and tons of street art for ART 106-1020 BCCC Summer '24!

We had so many opportunities to immerse ourselves in Baltimore's thriving art scene! We had a private showing of the Megan Lewis exhibit "Moon in Scorpio" at Galarie Myrtis. We went together and independently to aporeciate the street art of Baltimore in vibrant murals and graffiti. At a Juneteenth film festival, we saw films and art dealing with the systemic struggles facing traditionally black neighborhoods in Baltimore. We saw some of the American Visionary Museum, and then our professor's own exhibition in the Light Street Pavillion. We shared lots of laughter and conversation. A fantastic summer of learning!
