Well done and inspiring, I plan on putting together a similar tool with most parts I have on hand just like you. A suggestion though, don't hold the work in your hand while cutting with the rotary saw, massive damage can be done to yourself in a fraction of a second, use a vise or pliers to hold the work so you can keep on making videos with two hands and ten fingers. ☺ Oh, and screw the naysayers, they have no clue what the spirit of jugaad is or it's rewards.
You should specify that this is only for light work like cutting ice cream sticks. The joint between ur bicycle cable on both end is flimsy. If it was glue only that you wanted to use. U should have got two component epoxy for 50 rs.
for those wants to add hand held switch, just add a long separate push button along/replacing the switch, right hand with drill and left with push button.. dont add the button to the flex drill itself.. and my question is.. does this thing can handle a power drill? i dont have hand drill so im thinking of adding flex shaft on my power drill.. thx
Seems that it would be nice to have s small potentiometer ( preferably a roller dial), on the handle or even on the box. The whole set up seems apparently to be for light duty use and delicate work, so being able to control the speed might be a great addition,to prevent "boo-boo's" .
I was like "this might just work" up until @ 4:30 That's when my man hot glue spliced the shaft . .. Use a mechanical coupling and you'll be able to use this for torque applications.

This will have less working time then your video. Plastic and metal friction on 20000rpm , well you do the math

actually no with this set up a potentiometer alone will decrease power and speed together and this can barly cut air as it is
