    @SmallTownMonsters Hey guys... When I was a kid living in Shelton Wa, at a place by the name of Lake Limerick.. We used to sneak out to a nearby lake by the name of Cranberry Lake. we also used to take off through the woods sometimes even through the brush at night just for adventure and because it was scary. One cold December night we took off with our firearms and the neighbor kidd and hiked out to the back end of Cranberry lake, owned at that time by Simpson Timber Company but we had to cross a treefarm to get there. We got to the back end of the lake, pretty confident and laughing and joking around and then we heard it.. I cant explain it very well but have heard other recordings that sound similar. It wasnt high pitched but lets say there was an upper range and a lower range and then what sounded like talking but not any words that sounded familiar.. It was like an insane chatter.. It almost sounded like an angry man speaking japenese in a really low voice but it wasnt Japenese.. it was just weird and insane sounding followed by woops. That was when I was 17, the year was 1983. Fast forward to 23 years old... My buddy and I and a couple of young ladies we knew decided to hike out to this same lake one summer night. We built a fire next to the lake.. As soon as we had the fire going we heard that same sound again. At first I was freaked out.. the others were in a panick. then my buddy calmed down and we finnaly got the girls calmed down.. I wanted to see what this thing was. It moved around the shore from the other side of the lake twoards us making noise the whole time, yelling, screaming and chattering. when it got closer we finnaly chickend out and started making our way out, BUT.. it followed us. It never got within a hundred feet of us (I dont think) but at one point I could smell it. This happened one other time at a place called the Stair Case in Olympic National Park close to lake Cushman.. but it was far off. Growing up and hiking the woods and tree farms hunting and fishing We heard alot of things... Tree knocking was common as well as woops. Almost everytime we went out and alot of times picking brush we would here the woops. In fact we used beat logs against the side of trees in response, I even had an old baseball bat I used to carry around to hit rocks with that I would also hit trees with, But I never thought that the woops or the tree knocks could be Sasquatch.. We also found several areas where there were stands of small pines and you would find several of them pulled together with bedding inside. Infact I was about 11 at the time out picking chantrells with an adult when I saw the first one and thought it was odd.. the other thing that was common was piles of brush pulled together and you could see where something had bedded down. and in 2019 we were in the Lamar Valley close to a place called Bison Peak. We pulled into a place called the Lamar Buffalo Ranch and Hiked up Rose Creek to the old wolf pens and up past there I saw my first track.. Im still not convinced that it wasnt a doubled up grizzly track but it sure was big and it sure looked human.
    As I have never seen one I am still not 100% convinced BUT growing up I heard storys from the native kids from the Skokomish Indian reservation as well as some of the Old timers I fished with about bigfoot. It seems like back in the 1970s and early 1980s they were a lot of people sighting them on Mcewin Prairie road and Johns Prarie rd.. Between Johns Prarie rd and Cranberry Lake there was an old old homestead. My understanding is that the older couple that lived there used to see a bigfoot pretty regular as he would come in and eat the apples in there orchard that and one of my moms friends that worked at the counry club with her had a story of almost hitting one one night on Mcewin Prarie rd coming back from town. SO... I'm pretty sure that whole area is to developed now BUT I would bet that the Olympic mountains and all that land skirting them between shelto and the coast (Matlock way) would be prime if there is such an animal.. Cool channel guys.. It's been a longtime, I havent been back up in that area since the late 1980s and live in the San Francisco Bay Area now.. It's fun watching the videos and being able to pick out all of the different plants The Huck and Salal brush (Salal Berries taste nasty) One of you videos you were talking about Devils Club, I hated that plant.. anyway cool channel , go git em..

    I think the audio evidence is more important than many people think. It's hard to fake this stuff and it either is or isn't specific local animals. And, if it isn't, what is it?

  • @thelonesomefisherman7425
    @thelonesomefisherman7425 9 месяцев назад +25

    For me, I think the audio recordings are some of the most interesting evidence. I have listened to various bigfoot audio clips from different sources and times. I find enough similarities between them to convince me that something unknown is yelling its head off in the woods. I've heard similar singing in different recordings here on RUclips.

    • @RuinedTemple
      @RuinedTemple 9 месяцев назад +3

      Many enthusiasts & researchers alike have long speculated & hypothesized that they aren't necessarily always disgustingly smelly- no more than a wild extant great ape (eg. gorilla, orangutan, chimp, or bonobo), relict hominid (eg. australopithicus, Homo erectus, Neanderthals, etc.), or a considerably hairy feral human might be.
      There have been many who suspect that the horrendous stink that's often associated with eyewitness accounts & unnerving feelings while outdoors could be due to the Sasquatches (possibly only the males, but that's obviously yet to be determined) possessing glands that excrete an odorous compound when stressed, such as when they are seen by an unfamiliar human or sense that one has wandered too close to them, a member of their group or family unit, their territory or hunting grounds, or perhaps if one has accidentally interfered with their hunt.
      I may be mistaken, but I think that male gorillas have a scent gland that excretes a strong odor when they are stressed.
      That's part of what makes this species so utterly fascinating; it appears that they could be our closest living evolutionary relatives, yet it seems that they might possess traits that are only shared with other primates that split from our branch on the taxonomical tree a ridiculously long time ago.
      I'd love to find out exactly how that managed to happen!

In addition to any other calling, have someone sing. See if you get singing in response. It's worth noting that all animals appear to be interested in human singing. Primates, dolphins, elephants, lions, etc. seem to take notice of singing. I've never searched for cryptids, but I would certainly consider giving it a try.

    Truly appreciate the comprehensive audio catalog that has been done over a span of few years. Great job Olympic Project team. Everything is so very well detailed and organized. Your dedication is very respected. Chris's 'Chimp fit' is authentically similar to primates, a primatologist would very likely agree.
    Love Eli's signature poncho he's usually seen wearing.

    When it comes to bee stings for anyone that don't know you can take cigarette tobacco mix a decent pinch of tobacco with your spit & apply to the sting so it sticks to your skin. It will pull the stinger out if embedded, reduces swelling & pain. Its not gross to use your own saliva it don't need much lol even if you're not a smoker it's still handy to have the tobacco in your first aid for stings when you're exploring in the forest & hiking. My mom always used it on me as a kid when i would get stung & i was back outside like it didn't happen in less than 10 mins. Plus you can leave some tobacco for an offering if you believe in that all that stuff.

    Hi Eli. So I watched the video again and in the one section at the nest area this was when just the recorder was there no people anyway, it was all the chimp sounds going nuts. Could it be that it’s a birthing area and they go there February March to have babies and it gets very vocal at that time???? It almost sounds like a female screaming and than lower vocals. Maybe I’m thinking to deep into to this but that’s what it seems like to me. 😳😳😳.

    What do you guys make of the vocalizations the Expedition Bigfoot folks supposedly recorded in WA that were in S3 about halfway through the season? The ones that sounded as haunting as what you have here? I can't tell if they made them up for dramatic effect and showrunning material to keep the show interesting disingeniously or if they could be genuine. I'd love to know your thoughts on them.

    • @RuinedTemple
      @RuinedTemple 9 месяцев назад +1

      No, because they're trying to find & offer evidence that's valuable to science.
      Right now, science isn't interested in the "paranormal".
      It'll probably take another 25-50 yrs or so before science advances to the point where it's finding evidence & developing theories that either support or don't support the alleged paranormal phenomena that are suspected by some to be associated with Sasquatch.
      We can only take it one step at a time.
      And right now, the effort just needs to focus on getting science to take the idea of Sasquatch as a species of relict hominoid that may be our closest evolutionary relative seriously.

    I don't find these 'vocalisations' to be "chilling". They're interesting and worthy of much greater analysis. I get frustrated when people talk about this subject and make it appear 'supernatural' or in some way spooky - making everything to do with fear and superstition. It will never be taken seriously by the mainstream scientific community until this stops happening. Try "fascinating" instead....

  • @burningoceanfloor1560

    45:15 No, not with these types of animals. We haven't tried to interact with these types of "animals" for thousands of years. The best thing you can do is "not try", take that as you will, because we've instead spent the last few millennia distancing and in effect "trying the opposite" of what it is to "try", communicate, interact, with things of this super nature. There's a whole paradigm shift that this guy needs to make if he ever wants solid, clear, concise, and blatant world-changing and nearly his own life-threatening proof of this race we've been eluded by for centuries now. I'm not sure about this part but I believe that some part of why many other races do not simply show themselves to us is because each time they have, the other people-- the people that are here, will show up at your door and tell you that you have to deny everything you just saw.. or else. That's why there's so many hoaxes. Millions of $ go in to disinformation.

    At 40:03 the sounds are called samurai sounds because they sound oriental, also the main reason you never see too many footprints is because Sasquatches walk through the trees, some indigenous people call them " tree walkers" they travel allot from tree to tree like apes do.
    there is a video of Squatches swinging ima tree and one swings down to catch a younger one who was having trouble moving from one tree to the other,
    it is shadowy but you can still see them. they walk through so when you do see one print its because they stepped down from a tree and went up into another or they walk through dense underbrush or over rocks. they are masters of camouflage,
    so they can be a few feet from you and you would never see them, unless they want you to.
