During the winter, exposed to the harsh cold weather amid pressures from Benoit, the landlord to pay rent or potentially face eviction, Rodolfo unable to remain warm himself without destroying/burning his own creations which sustain him financially, wasn’t suitable to have ever attempted to light Mimi’s candle which is symbolic of his inability to have ever supported their love which is why she dies in the end. In my opinion, one must consider the fact that there are 2: Mimis and Rodolfos as well as 3 Musettas and 2 Marcellos. This means that those that the audience are originally introduced to as: Rodolfo; Mimi; Musetta and Marcello, aren’t the same individuals in the closing scene where Mimi dies. Therefore, one could argue that the original Rodolfo and Mimi could have depending on when the original pair exit: remained together past spring; agreed to separate once spring has arrived or never been in the closing scene where Mimi dies. Why 3 Musettas? One for each of the men Musetta dated in the Opera La Bohème is about trying to make love outlive life in the face of imminent death. In a way, all humans face this, though not everyone’s death is atrophying, it is a part of every living being’s fate which is why it is relatable to everyone because we all will die someday. Same with Rent the Musical/Drama, HIV/AIDS may not be everyone’s diagnosis but we are all trying to find love in life despite our imminent deaths 😀
Absolutely horrible!!! In the opening, Talor dal mio.., he is swallowing the voice and not projecting it. The terrible strained and falsetto tone C is wobbling and shaking. He has ruined his voice just like I had predicted years ago due to a very bad technique. He chose to perform on stage instead is mastering a good vocal technique. Too bad because he once had a lot of promise.
Are you a voice coach, are you a trained singer?? What are your credentials to be able to critique. Could you tell him face to face what you just commented? Or you just make these comments because you can. I think not. It’s actually your opinion and not a fact.
@@amantedellopera1681 Perhaps, not the worst, but it's very bad for such a young tenor. I warned him that he was using his voice improperly and he did not listen to me.

Thank you!
Truly a beautiful voice ❤️
For all intents and purposes Mimi could have been across town. I don't know what it is about Costello, he is just not engaged in the scene here.
prolly worried if he'll have the C...
Beautiful!
Please @metopera I beg you...Could you upload Dell'elisir mirabille from L'Elisir d'Amore with Xabier Anduaga???🙏🙏🙏🙏

Great voice!
Gran voz
You cut away the title line right in the beginning 😅 but great song
Tiene excelente material vocal pero ha de ajustar la emisión y dejar libre el sonido.
Does she say "bravo" at the very end of this clip? If not, she should have. DA
Why? It was terrible.

@@samueljaramillo4221 falsetto top C, wobbly voice, and veiled voice are all facts. He stinks in this performance.

No, I’ve heard in at the Met many times.
@@samueljaramillo4221 the worst tenor I ever heard with volume of musical singing
Sad to see his very swift decline over the last years.
