Home sweet home. On the sunny side. Where people stand around in the middle of the piste chatting and blocking the way. I love Cervinia. It’s magnificent and the food is great.
That Theodulpass section back into the Plan maison lift is my favourite of Cervinia, could ski that section all day, wide, really flowy, get some nice speed up, but can also cruise it too, had a great time there in early 2023, never got over to the Zermatt side because of the wind, so thanks for sharing the video, and great technical skiing btw, very classy 👍
It's over 20 Years ago that I was in Cervinia. I can't even remember on any of this routes :) Thanks for this video. Mabye one day I will go there again ... maybe ...
I went summer skiing on the glacier here 30 years ago. All the unused t-bars you see are for summer skiing. It's pretty amazing. I wore special sunglasses with shades on the side because the sun is so intense. Altitude + snow + sun = fried eyes. As the season went on, crevasses opened up and you had to be very careful. Highly recommended.
Yes, protection from the sun makes a lot of sense and should not be ignored. Zermatt is a wonderful area for skiing in summer too. This is really highly recommended. Thank you for your comment and best regards RNA
Crossing over to cervina is pretty risky as if the winds pick up too much without warning, the top lifts shut and you’re stuck in cervina. Though whenever they build the two planned 3S gondolas in cervina, that will make things easier and provide more certainty as they tolerate much higher winds than gondolas and cable cars
I will visit the Klein Matterhorn this mid of June. I cannot ski. I really like the view in this route. Is it doable to walk from the Klein Matterhorn to Testa Grigia by foot with hiking shoes?
There is also a lot of snow in summer. I recommend you go up to the viewing platform at the mountain station and visit the ice museum. But I wouldn't go hiking in the snow there
@@relaxing_nature_ambience Just got back, and weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee - a great run all the way down to Italy! It took a little while to get back up to the top, but it was totally worth it. Thanks again for the video.
BUT if the weather’s not right and you only go for the week you may not see the top of the Matterhorn and most people stay in bed. Also be prepared with face and eyewear. It may be sunny in Cervinia and a blizzard in Zermatt. Look at the top of the Matterhorn or ask the lift men.
In Zermatt all hotels are on an excellent level. Especially nice hotels for me are the Hotel Matterhorn Focus, Bellerive, Butterfly, Schönegg, Zermatterhof, Firefly, Cervo... Check Tripadvisor, the ratings are very high for almost all hotels. Greetings and happy vacations RNA
Greetings! Did it only take you 20 minutes to ski the entire run from Zermatt to Cervino? I heard it’s 13 miles. Also, was there any challenging black slopes?
Hello no cuts were made in the video and the ride is 100% in the film. At most I have cut away the break, but the driving time is real. There are different slopes you can drive. Look for this best on google, there you will find many slope maps. Soon there will be a new video from Zermatt to Cervinia if you are interested. Greetings RNA
I am intrested in that too. All the way from Zermatt to Cervinia, how much time you would estimate would take me? Biggest problem i had in my 2 times being there was the wind closing the pass logistics.
@@emanuel_antohe We are leisurely drivers and don't drive very fast. the video is uncut. so you have 20 minutes driving time. add 40 minutes for breaks, taking photos, enjoying the panorama, sunbathing and you'll be in cervinia in an hour 😁
@@relaxing_nature_ambience i am asking for the total estmation of the timing on lifts and descent because i plan to go for a "polenta al cervo" traditional val d'aosta dish for lunch at the base of the slopes restaurant in Cervinia but my accomodation is in Zermatt.

I don't know, I'm still there haha.... The ski lifts from Cervinia take you back to the Theodul Pass in a short time, where you can return to Zermatt/Switzerland.
Yes, that is correct. This is also described in the video. Take a look at minute 07:29 where we cross the Theodul Pass and then continue to Cervinia. As a local, you can trust me that I know the right routes 😄 Thanks for watching and best regards RNA
It's bad they're too lazy to open those t-bar lifts for summer skiing. You just have one chairlift on the swiss side and another one on Italian side plus the cableway to bring you up. And it stops at 15:00 even if the snow condition is still acceptable
No, the last cable car that goes from the Klein Matterhorn to Testa Grigia opens only this summer. Then you can go by public transport from Italy to Zermatt.
i consider the majority of the piste to be rather easy and not very difficult. if the route is too flat, you can also ski other pistes. there are enough routes for every skill level. regards
