In-game the orchestration and performances are superb, but this track proves that ultimately, the melodies themselves are why this game just sounds so good.
Incase anyone got confused or want to know the times of each song: (WARNING: SPOILERS) 0:00 - 0:08 - World Map Theme 0:09 - 0:36 - Bell of Battle (Regular Battle) 0:37 - 1:13 - Fighting to the End (Boss Battle) 1:14 - 1:48 - That Person's Name Is (Asterisk Boss Battle) 1:49 - 2:26 - Wicked Battle (Airy Battles 1 and 2) 2:27 - 3:12 - Wicked Flight (Airy Battle 3) 3:13 - 4:18 - Serpent Eating At The Ground (Final Boss Battle) 4:19 - 4:37 - Victory's Delight Hope this helped!
Because people are too stupid to understand that a "medley" is a mix of songs, not just the one. Now, the option to have the music played in 8bit style, as opposed to the standard, why that isn't in the game is unknown to me.
Abigail Reaman I'm pretty sure that's what he meant in the first place ^^" An 8-bit option would have been nice. I'd love to hear Love's Vagrant and Baby Bird in this arrangement.
Well done! I love the nod to chip tunes by porting this back to an NES-like sound palate. As was said here by another commenter, it really is good melodies and great writing that makes this translate to other idioms so well.
Oh you know, to look cool. Like know how in the videos people select options so quickly, it looks pretty cool...yeah. ( I have no idea what I'm trying to say here)
Nooo! I don't want to stop hearing the 8-bit overworld theme! Someone maybe an 8-bit version of this game! It would only be fitting, when you think about it.
Basically if you take the music from a current rpg by square.. Remix it into a chiptune song.. *looks through notes* It will sound like.. *takes out calculator* it will sound like retro rpg music from square.
In-game the orchestration and performances are superb, but this track proves that ultimately, the melodies themselves are why this game just sounds so good.
3:30 I believe you have a phone call, lord ouroboros...
Kenny Hine They'd better be ready to give me back that plastic fork.

Do you mind if I add this to the description?
Ah, sorry for the late response! Of course you may!
The only way this could become better is if it had the character special move themes in.
too much work
...gotta put that as my ringtone
I had no idea this existed until today, and BD is one of my favorite games. This is rad.
@It's Nep Revo is indeed a legend. I hope to one day get this disk myself.

MRGRGR!!!!! WHY WAS THIS NOT IN THE GAME?!?!?!
because it's on 3DS, not NES
maybe I do
because people can have seizures from too much awsome
and believe me people will sue for that happening
Because people are too stupid to understand that a "medley" is a mix of songs, not just the one.

ALL ridiculous bangers in 8-bit and original. This soundtrack will forever have a special place in my heart
Living proof that originality hasn't dried out since the late 80's
I applaud you, fine sir!
It will never dry out.
Because it's freaking Revo man.
there needs to be more 8-bit versions of the songs in bravely default
The soundtrack of this game is the best i've seen in years
Mission accepted....
You know it's a masterpiece if its 8 bit counterpart is just as good
Holy shit its like I'm really back in the 80's and I love it!
The fact Land of Light and Shadow gets cut off so early pains me. Also 1:14 was my ringtone for the longest time.

This is fantastic! I wish I found this sooner!

Knevix711 Maybe he is suffering from "Cold shoulder handheld" syndrome. I think it's been a problem for Nintendo handhelds since the DS Lite. :(
@@Knevix711 I hit the brave option on the menu.
*eargasm*

Fucking Revo with his 8bit tracks.
Troll Heika strikes again.
Beep beep.
*Ringabel?*
SO glad you uploaded this!
Very nice your song! I will give you 9999 (or 999999 in Bravely Second) likes.
First time I heard this existed, definitely well done by Revo
Serpent Eating the Ground sounds PERFECT! I want to make a whole sound track demake of Bravely Default
This is just too damn good.
i finally beat this game a week ago. watching this to celebrate
Feels like the early ages of final fantasy doesnt it?
this is amazing
goooooooood i need the 8-bit overworld theme so bad now
All that's missing is Final Fantasy trademark bassline in the beginning.
Honestly, you did a very good job.
Hmm? I didn't make this. This is the bonus track from the Luxendarc Daikikou album.
Obviously a flying fairy or Ouroboros haven't yet found a reason to dislike this. That's because, there is none.
Wait, one of them disliked. Even though they're already dead. Maybe it was Mammon or some other Nemesis, because it wasn't their battle theme.
You have a point 0_0
Maybe it was a Ba'al
Thracia776 Damn Mega Ultra Waifu Chicken...
Damn this is good
god this is a masterpiece !
From Wicked flight onward it sounds like a Shantea track.
I bet a really dedicated individual/team could make a Bravely Default mod for Final Fantasy III.
...The Famicom game, not VI.
or you could play the DS remake... =P
yeah... but it's something =)...a vocalized soundtrack remade by Revo for FFIII isn't a bad idea either =P
I'd be game!
You'd probably be forced to cut the filler missions out of the game, and skip right to the end.
That would be so amazing.
fucking awesome!
sounds like it is from a gameboy colour.
I wanna hear bravely default with pokemon soundfont
good sound i! i am making 8bit sound about bravely default. i want to refer to this sound.
FF tactics..........

I like a lot more the remixes made with the limitations of the VRC6 chip by Atomic Melodies and others.
Why just the songs? Someone has to start working on a full 8-bit demake of the whole game!
Do it
Seriously 1 dislike!!!! Shiit son of an Airy!!!!!
Is it weird that I think this sounds like a Sega Master System arrangement?
if you give the Game Boy (Color) _Legends of Zelda_ too much caffeine
прошло почти 9 лет
It sounds somehow like megaman
destroy revo before he destroys your ears
Too bad the game is not as good as the soundtrack
I mean the (spoilers) final boss between airy and ouroburos was VERY climactic, but i see what you're talking about
You say that, but I’d say it’s on par with FF6. I still go back and forth on which is better.
