I loved this hand. This reminds me of when I used play (at all) 1-2 at the empire in London back in 2011. But it's happening at high stakes televised games. Love to know poker is still alive.
Played there once while on holiday, place was shady asf. Next table dealt two Ah on a board and there was no video to review?!? My table the dealer was shorting players with extra rake from players and taking minimal (no) rake from one player. I had to speak out after he shorted me on a split pot.
Kept playing since I was on holiday and a buddy had joined me. Finally had to leave when this hand happened.
Villain (buddy?) and a rec was in a small pot… maybe 10£? The board ran out boardway, Villain jammed like 600£ and rec can’t call due to rake. Rec called anyway. Dealer counted out the chips (wtf?!?) mixed the stack and redistribute (taking a full minute to shuffle and reshuffle)… and handed the stack to rec, who tossed in his cards. Villain / dealer claimed rec forfeited his pot because the hand was no revealed and it wasn’t over as villain didn’t get HIS stack and his hand wasn’t revealed either. Wtf?!?

Nerd question: so I know the little shortcut of 4x outs on the flop, 2x outs on the turn = approximate % chance of hitting. Here Don has 19 outs which would yield an estimate of 38%, but the graphic says he is 43% to win. In my experience the 4x/2x trick is off by a little but not usually 5%, which is a significant difference.
Is it just that it becomes less accurate the more outs are involved? Thanks in advance to anyone who can explain!

would you really fold KQ (an open ended probably drawing to the nut straight) here with those odds? like yeah you’re drawing dead to a boat but that’s only going to happen occasionally. the rest of the time you’ve got like 16% and maybe like 14-15% vs a flush draw since u do lose like 2 outs but you’re also winning a lot if both draws miss. Necessary pot odds are 14%. So that seems like a call right? Obviously it’s hard to know the pot odds are exactly 14% here but I definitely think it’s intuitive that they’re around 15%

He has said he said that he would formulate ideas for the show with the production staff. He SHOULD have gone public about that relationship. The idea that someone at the table had a relationship with production staff should have been made clear to all players and public.

You would be surprised how often I've seen this happen in live games. I've lost maybe 2-3k in spots like this. Because your mind is so confident they had a better hand. And when you see the opponent celebrate like that. Your mind precepts it like that.
How could you have lost money, the cards speak, even if the pot got pushed to the wrong person if you know that you lost money when you should’ve won than the pot would be returned to you.

Where you fall on this depends on what you think is more important. The long term health of the player pool especially with respect to rec players or extracting maximum value as fast as possible from said player pool.
Perfect show that explains robbie didnt cheat. Players do crazy things for big pots. That guy said YES because he thought he won. Eric stormed off because he thought he lost. None of them were angling.
Wow! A $300,000 pot and one guy is telling his opponent that he doesn't even have a pair, and the other guy hits a full house and walks off in disgust. Meanwhile, the $2 $5 game I play in has 3 or 4 pros who rarely make mistakes.

People don't realize Gman didn't control the line ups. Art P was brought up several times. Art moved away and was playing mostly online!! I'm sure latb has a clip of that discussion some where. It all comes down to Ryan not wanting pros in the game. Gman just has the star power so they allowed him in the game. But now that their brand is built they are kicking the pros out of the line ups

I’ve watched several of his hands at hustler casino live and his hand selection against Garrett is just like Robbie hands selection and miraculously,they have the best hands by the river.
