He wasn’t the master of max value with his 5’s against Persson’s 2-pair. But to be fair, if Persson did that on purpose it’s shady.
Eric definitely out of line with that angle prior to garrets raise. It’s perfectly designed to make better hands feel worse about betting to get to a showdown cheap.

Questionable but at the same time brillant play by Eric at the end to throw a chip before Garett put his chips in... that way he look incredibly strong by snap calling... which make now garett hold back and then check... Persson save himself from calling a big river bet
Yeah a lot of people think it was an angle but I agree with you - not an angle, but for sure a questionable brilliant play lol.
In all seriousness in many cardrooms that would be a minimum orbit penalty. Angle or not, any actions that influence turn of play should be looked upon as a breach of etiquette at the very least. I am shocked that Gabe and AJ did not talk about this. Garrett had cause to call the floor.

That was an illegal bet by "EP", the set of 5s over K7 hand 8:25 - 13:35.
When you check and then try to beat your opponent into the pot with a call, but splash chips when your opponent did not ever make a bet for you to call, then that should be an automatic call to whatever Garrett bets. Garrett clearly did not know the rule and looked for someone to help. The rules for this cash game might be different at such high stakes, but that is shocking. After Persson checked, gave the speech, kept needling...that 75k should be dead $. I would imagine it is like betting blind even though there are no more streets. Eric's illegal bet interrupted Garrett's betting motion, which is way out of line. Eric was acting out of turn. Persson knew he was out of line because he already checked, then bet, then pulled his chips back out of the pot when he realizes Garrett had not bet. It looked like EP was going to snap raise Garrett's bet and he should pay for his misclick. Much respect to Garrett for not at least asking for clarification from the producer about the rules in that situation, or at least asking for the bet to count. This is a fine line between a mistake and cheating when Eric doesn't have to pay it off. He is lucky that nobody at the table protested.

That is the rule and Garret knows that, so does persons which is why perssons said “you can do whatever you want and it’s ok” meaning if you want to even increase your bet it’s ok, he’s binded to the call

@@jayhayes5924 Yes, I was being sarcastic. 😏 but to be honest, He’s just an average player to me who has 3 things on his advantage: 1) really bad players on the table. 2) Many players are afraid of him and it’s not even funny 😄 I’ve seen player with QQ, the flop J 7 2 rainbow, Garrett check and They check back. 2:49 👈🏼🤦🏻♂️ Lilly checks with QQ and a straddle pre-flop because She’s scared 3) He’s reaaaally lucky. In this video you can see that He hits every flop so there’s no need to be a genius to win his hand. 0:23 👈🏼 flopped 3 Kings 3:00 👈🏼 flopped 3 Jacks those are hands that a 3yrs old can play. Now look 👉🏼 11:53 how Eric plays with his head and safe $75K. For those reasons, i think that he’s a average player with many things on his favor…watch him closely and you will agree.

The best time to bring up issue is when it happens so that it can be immediately investigated unfortunately robbi was not searched or her boyfriend.
