    I like how you get straight to the point and explain the topic well. Thank you for creating this video.

    Thank you for a wonderful, instructive video. Subscribed! Not only did you cover how to break down a complicated problem into many individual steps, but the amount of DAX functions covered in one video was amazing. I've take a lot of Power BI training videos and they typically focus on one or 2 DAX functions at a time. As much as that is helpful, I find that I know a decent amount about the mechanics of individual DAX functions, but not always how to piece them all together into a solution. Your training style is unique in that regards as a fairly new student of PBI.
    One minor point that I thought I'd share. I recently took a DAX Studio training video over at SQLBI and they mentioned that if you want to have EVALUATE return a scalar value instead of a table, just wrap the condition inside curly braces and then you do not have to use the ROW function.
    Step 1 as an example:
    EVALUATE
    -- ROW("Result", COUNTROWS(Sales))
    {"Result", COUNTROWS(Sales)}

      ty sir, that's correct, you gotta use row() or some other way to turn the result as a table

    Another awesome video. I was just playing with the logic for getting the top sellers from your other video so this was perfect. I love the step by step approach using dax studio. Your explanations and communication are top notch. Well done.

    Thank you for a comprehensive walkthrough. Subscribed! It also explains how to take a DAX Query and get it to the point where it returns a scalar value which means we can use the logic in a measure.

    Please do a DAX course. I have bought so many online courses advertising themselves as "advanced dax" but I have never seen some of these functions before.

    Hi Andre!
    At 10:46 you say you have to use calculate to get the right results. i pulled calculate on both the sales calc & the distinctcount of products. received the same answer as using calculate

    • @KnowledgeBankPro
      @KnowledgeBankPro  4 года назад +1

      well, sum would see an entire table, I don't remember exactly what the point was but if you don's use calculate in some cases SUM will not work the way you would expect
