PS2 version of NFS:HP2 running on PCSX2. Still the best NFS ever (imho) Slight glitch in HW mode when pulled over so it didnt show up.

Ps2 has 3 more racetracks, wich are arguably the best of the game.

Yep. I played it on PC, PS2, and Xbox (a little cleaner graphics). I still have the PC version. (Burnout 1 and 2 were also good from that era).

If I'm not mistaken hotpursuit for ps 3 was a sort of remake slash Omage to this game

This game's cops are better than GTA (or any other games), because they never really prioritized one human player instead they did a real "justice".
Steve Hickstington right! I remember playing this game and on the HUD where it shows the race postions and the opponent names, I remember a couple times where some opponents would be out of the race and it would say "BUSTED" meaning they got caught over 3 times by police

Except only 2010 refrained from adding a bunch of extra, unnecessary crap that sours the experience to near unplayable degrees.
You can't make everyone happy. People were yelling for more tuning and so they got NFS 2015. There was Hot Pursuit from 2010 where you have supercars and no ricing at all and people didn't like it because of that.
Bullshit, hp2010 sold great. NFS should've been split into UG and HP like games, now it's too late. Wouldn't be surprised if EA axed the whole thing.
From underground to undercover I thought were alright. We need hp2 style nfs games again. Hell, relreleasing a lot of the old nfs games as a classics pack would be an amazing move for ea

Just curious, what are the specs of the machine you used to do the emulation? I've been out of the modern emulation scene for a few years now, and when I was last in it, PS2 emulation (and the other consoles you show off) was pretty crappy, but these recordings are amazing. I'm curious to see if I can do some decent emulation on a reasonable machine, or if you're able to pull these off because you have a beast of a rig
Can't say for his machine, but I ran this exact game , 60 FPS, on 1080p on a FX6300 @4.0GHz, 8GB RAM, Radeon HD7870XT.

Yea, it's getting a bit long in the tooth now, the CPU is holding it back tho. To add some more info on it I also tried it on a Core i3 2100 @3.1GHz, 8GB RAM and a Palit GTX750Ti 2GB, same results, or at least no notable difference on the same settings.
Wow, on an i3! That definitely gives me hope. I recently got access to what used to be a powerful desktop a few years back, forgot the exact specs but I know it has an i5 and a decent NVIDIA graphics card (forgot how much dedicated memory on it and which specific card, though), so I'll probably play around with it and see if I can get something running nicely like this!
I love the police radio chater in this game! Even in later games like most wanted 2005 they where good!

was standard in HP2, you had a Jump camera, a moving Camera if you hit a Roadblock or the Load from the Helicopter and even a 360° Camera if you pause the Race

did you have any squares around your car when driving ? i had the red bars now i have shadow issue
in the grahpics plugin settings, enable "HW hacks and then set skipdraw to 5. that should help

I admire yur efforts as this brings back fond memories, NO i never mastered this one like the first Pursuit BUT, it's still amatuer shit...learn a course fowards backwards with all shortcuts, then learn to use a "stick" to help you round the sudden tight turns > THEN, shut off pedestrian traffic making it just you against the cops, choose the CLK GTR, choose "bumper cam" for the ultimate rush, have at it & post...
I didn't have the time to master this one but i was able to lay down a flawlessly seamless run in the first one, no crashes, no bouncing off shit, no NOTHING...all bumper cam view, thee ONLY way to play these...fond memories!!!!!

We got rebooted version back in 2010 not really the same.

Perfect Nfs game would be this with lots of new cars and tracks and with customisation from Carbon
