【089】Easy Bassline for Beginners! Tab Included - Summertime

In this video, I perform Gershwin’s classic “Summertime” with a Neo Soul groove that even beginners can play.
The beginner-friendly bass lines are composed of half notes and quarter notes. These bass lines are demonstrated on both 4-string and 5-string basses.
For 4-String Bass Beginners:
This content is perfect for those who have recently purchased a bass. It’s ideal for getting accustomed to basic rhythms, tablature, and bass positions.
For 5-String Bass Beginners:
If you’ve bought a 5-string bass but find yourself rarely using the Low B string (a common issue among my students), this content is designed for you. It includes 5-string tablature that makes playing the Low B string easy and enjoyable.
The melody is played on a 6-string bass. Since I mainly use a 6-string bass in my concerts, I supported the video with this instrument.
While the bass lines are beginner-friendly, the arrangement of the other instruments is in a Neo Soul style, giving you a taste of the genre’s unique vibe.
