【088】Easy Jazz Funk Bass Line (Wayne’s Thang)and 6-String Bass Solo

In this video, I’m playing a jazz-funk bass line based on an 8-bar loop of three chords: Em, C, and B7.
The main focus is on the 4-string bass line, but I’ve also included an improvised bass solo on a 6-string bass over this loop. Since I primarily play a 6-string bass, I wanted to showcase it in this video, though it’s more of an added bonus.
The bass line is structured around three chords. When the chord changes, only the root note is altered, while the rest of the phrase remains consistent. The rhythm is straightforward and easy to grasp, making it accessible even for beginners with some practice.
