    I tried epival and i found no effect compared to lithium carbonate.

    Lithium is highly toxic and when taking it patient should be tested every three months. Bi-polar can also be mis diagnosed and is very similar to personality disorder.

      Thank you for your comment. You are correct about checking lithium levels every 3 months and adjusting for renal function. This discussion is on low chronic exposure of lithium in groundwater and the environment. For someone to become toxic from drinking tap water they would have to drink dozens of gallons on a daily basis, at which point we would be far more concerned about hyponatremia versus lithium levels.
