Although the title might conjure up images of some kind of zombie apocalypse shooter, Dead Connection is a pastiche of classic gangster flicks The Godfather and The Untouchables, rolled up into an arena-based shooter.
It's surprisingly good fun too, although my chief complaint is the AI enemies that get themselves stuck behind parts of the scenery.
With support for up to 4-player coop, it's a shame this was never ported to any of the home consoles.

Al82 Retrogaming Longplays Let is not forget “The Untouchables” led by Eliot Ness against “Scarface Al” Capone back in the 1930’s. Look at the classic “The Scarface Mob” episode of the black and white TV series with Robert Stack as Ness.

@@theodorehsu5023 Speaking of Scarface references, I always thought the 1st stage setting looked a lot like Tony Montana's mansion from the 1983 Scarface film with the red carpet color and the staircase on both sides. Main differences being that table/bar at the center of the lower floor instead of the fountain with the "World Is Yours" statue and the white painted walls on the upper floor instead of the red from the film.

Elliot Ness (James) vs Don Vito Corleone (Nerozzia), it's an Untouchables vs The Godfather crossover matchup.

Nerozzia: Let's end this little game, cops!
Philip: We were so close to victory...
Eddie: We fought hard, didn't we?

Reminds me of Mike Gunner, a game I couldn't get to work on the C64 because you need a light-gun.

The Untouchables vs The Godfather. I don't think I've ever seen this game anywhere. Almost some Mandela Effect stuff going on here!😅

Or…if keeping within the theme, Empire City: 1931 or Dead Angle.
      Great job!
