- Hola, I'm Nik from Malaysia. I have been living here for almost 5 months now and being an Asian (Malay) in Mexico, in general, was a unique challenge of fitting in at first, but then it turned out really well and a lot simpler than it seemed. Every time my friends asking me about my new life in Mexico, I sometimes lack the right words to convey all I am experiencing. So, here it is, bienvenidos a México!

bloody hell what in the world am i doing in America!? i should be in Mexico City, why didn't my parents tell me how beautiful this place is?
And I'm here living in Detroit :(
Noah Vallejo I am not sure what film you were watching because I did not see anything in DF that I would regard as beautiful.
fosterliberty we are two different people, making our opinions different.
+fosterliberty are you serious bellas artes,Reforma mexico,Chapultepec Castle, La Alameda park(central park of d.f) .
You probably live in some hick town in tennessee....
+noize2040 I actually live on the North Shore of Chicago, but nice try. Mexico City is not a beautiful city. That does not mean it is not interesting, but a beautiful city it is not.
some of the nicest and cultured people I've met in my life were from that great city, the first capital in the American continent, Mexico city, kind, welcoming to different cultures, open in every way and extremely educated and well informed they could be an example for many other people out there
Well said. I totally agree with you.
White Star go research it yourself dont have a stereotype that everywhere in mexico theres a lot of crime.
Your video made me feel an urge to explore my city as if I were a tourist. Hope you are having a great time in Mexico. oh and always remember that "Mi casa es tu casa" bienvenido amigo.
+Francisco H. Muñoz Ceballos Thank you so much for your warm welcome! I really do enjoy this fantastic country with its warm welcome and awesome hospitality. The idiomatic expression that you just mentioned really applies to my situation :)
I´m really happy you liked it and that you keep on enjoying Mexico. Saludos amigo

Mexico is the first place I want to visit when I grow old
It's beauty full here, piece of advice, dig dipper. The most beautiful places tend not to be the most popular ones
Jake Caleb Catimbang
Why wait until you're old; visit while you're young and vibrant and can do things.
the subway there looks so much cleaner than in NYC
yes it is go watch a youtube video named" nyc vs mexico subway"
it is, but it's way smaller (and it's supposed to be as big as NYC's but the local government has preferred to put the money on car infrastructure instead since the 90s)
friend: u have the ultimate true 😂
It is much superior indeed.
As a New Yorker who has used the subway in Mexico City, I can assure you with all certainty that the Mexican subways are very clean, tidy, and organized.
+HideousUser No it's not. NYC subway: 380 km, 36 lines, 472 stations. Mexico City subway: 226 km, 12 lines, 195 stations
i'm from indonesia, and i feel nice to know that there's indonesian people who live in ciudad de mexico. i also like to hear that our language spoken on this video.i will visit mexico soon
There are a lot of diferent cultures here in Mexico city
I hope you can come soon! ♡
I really love the fact that so many people of different countries come to Mexico and enjoy it! ♡
Geraldo Kambey do u like i my india
El Grande its ok
Sweetly Broken hi
I lived in Mexico City for a few months last year and I miss it so much. Amazing place, planning on going back there soon
If you live in America and Donald trumps wins, might as well move in there
Cqrrot I'm glad you want to visit it again It's like Playa del Carmen Ones you're there you don't wanna leave So many many foreniers end up coming back to stay
I love Mexico and Mexican people!!! From Dubai 🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪
Great video! It's nice to see my ancestral city from a non-Mexican perspective! Also nice to see all the people from all over the world there. I hope Mexico continues to treat you well!
+CM thank you so much, amigo!
Amazing to see Arabic and Mexican culture combined haha , hope you had a good time here in México Nik.
I call that a Trump aneurysm.
+SenorMateo mind explaining? i
Cause it's two things Trump hates combined.
Thank you Santiago. I took Arabic class in UNAM for a few semesters. Saludos!
Mexico don't look nearly as bad as everyone says it is... Hmmm, maybe Trump was wrong!
Mexico is not what the media tries to drill in your head, it is no different than the Unites States, there are beautiful places ,such as the what the video demonstrated, and then there are the slums just like any other country. The reason why the media focuses on the dangerous parts of Mexico is because the government does not want you to spend your money over there and do not want retired seniors to retire over there( there are millions of Americans who move to Mexico so they can gain citizenship and retire there)
That's part of the adventure for some people...
Charles Randolph : "Maybe Donald Trump is wrong ! Delete the Maybe . He is wrong ! Sometimes people feared what is a menace to them , because they know something is powerful !
+Ericka Aghort-Lazc Umm, I hate to break it to you but 50% of Mexico is run by Cartels. So yeah, why don't you try causing a rucus in Tijuana and we'll see how long you live. Not too bright are you.
+shivakrishnarama No, U don't brake nothing at all ! I get your point . U admire a dude that thinks Paris is in Germany and owns a very misogynous concepts. Maybe u agree with that ! And my thoughts are born from experiences , Not from watching news , Absorbing them with no filter .Although i Know perfectly well where i live ! Its pros and contrs. It is indeed. Another way of life what i have been living ! Because i live in a comfortable , Peaceful neighborhood in Mexico City . And U should know that if in the world people disagree with u , It is not because their lack of intelligence but because the human being may have freedom of speech and diversity of opinion !
Life's good anywhere when you're a young college student with money.
I kinda agreed to what you mentioned, but based on my personal experience living in other countries before, I could tell you that living in Mexico City is by far one of the best experience of my life.I literally didn't face any kind of islamophobia here. They just accept you as you are.
I was born and raised in California, have been living in Mexico for the past five years, I feel so much safer in Mexico than in the states, I´m sure it depends on the city, but for the most part I like it better in Mexico.
i dont know why people ask about musmuls in the mexico city, we mexicans not have problem whit any religion, thats is why many people of other countrys and ideologist find in mexico a santuary.
well thats good. I want to visit there asap :D i dont know why mexico was described as a bad county by media. I mean like drugs or criminals, I'm sure every country has criminals too. but no offense amigo
hahahaha musmuls xd
+Josue Lopez lmfaoo this made me laugh hard
+Josue Lopez lol
the media hates Mexico because the economy is growing so fast that they don't want to cover anything positive about tthere
Nikolás, thank you! I am a mexican currently living outside my country and your video made me feel right at home. I also thought your post-production was really good!
It's so nice to see such a wonderfully shot video, intimate with life in Mexico, for once not just from the perspective of a North American.
It's a nice, familiar, nostalgic touch to see you celebrating with muslims in Mexico. Though not muslim myself, everything about those moments you shot are very familiar to me as someone of Indian-origin.
Thank you for your words, Ash. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Hope you will have the chance to visit this beautiful country someday.
Thank you for sharing!! . As a person who lives in Mexico city your video really showed a regular day in this big monster! . Don't stop exploring !
Chingón! :)

+Nikolás Hasif where you from?
+David Ruiz Las tortas ahogadas me dan asco. Guacala!
I live just there, we are Coyoacán neighbours!
I'm honored to have you as a guest, you did an amazing video of my life here too!

UU.
Loved the video fast, short and awaking to see I'm missing that part of my roots
Awesome & beautiful video! Thanks for sharing! Hope you have more!
Awesome video! I'm headed there this weekend!!
Hey, how was your experience? Just curios. Saludos!
Nikolás Hasif hello sir, how 're you ☺☺☺
Lizbeth Hernandez hope, your tour will going to successful ☺
Que lindo! This was so beautiful and well made, not like most " travel videos" that can feel quite superficial. I like that you showed the variety of culture and people within Mexico that people might not have known about. I'm curious, as someone who is also Asian (and Mexican but it doesn't show as much), what were the challenges you faced? You've emboldened me to definitely travel to Mexico city. I thought it would be too new-yorky, if that makes sense.
Mexico lindo y querido.
The aesthetic 😍 beautiful footage!
Oh, Lord. I felt as though I was watching a short film! Great editing work, man, really! You're a real artist and thank you for sharing this beautiful vision of my country. Saludos.
Hey Eric, thank you so much for your kind words and support. Greatly appreciated :)
Congrats! Such a cool video! I'm from Mexico City but now I'm far from there and miss it. I love how you show the daily life at Mexico City with simple and few words, just images with a "foreing perspective"; somehow I felt myself idenified with this feeling of not being from there but living in a city, maybe even feeling there like your home.
I don't know how more time are you going to be there, but I wish you a great time! Keep on learning spanish ;)
Disfrútalo y mucha suerte!
+Lorena chavez sanchez thank you! Really appreciate it :)
Really nice video, Nik. Bravo!
Te quedó súper padre, Nik. Ojalá después subas más videos 😀
Evelyn Halliwell hiii
This just made me realize how much I'll miss Mexico.
I love these videos. Love seeing the diversity and religious freedom. In Mexico we have a saying ," Cada quien su pedo y felizes". Translation: To each their own and everyone happy".
¡Hola! Yo vivo en esta ciudad y me encantó que tu video la retrata tan bella como yo la veo. Muchas gracias por hacerlo. Saludos.

So Mexico actually seems pretty decent. I remember reading a article years ago about how in the countryside that there are places where people haven't seen a doctor for nearly their whole lives and stuff like that.
But in reality you have places like that in Canada too.
Great video! I would love to study in Mexico for college! Did you do an exchange program or what would you recommend? Keep up the great videos!

Hi there, I too film natural sight and sound gopro walks in soulful cities, and I'm a real lover of watching them myself, so it's great to see your interesting and absorbing video, as I've never been and would like to one day (I've just filmed a walk of Cozumel if you'd like to see that in return?) I really enjoyed walking with you a while. Thanks for sharing. I've subscribed.
