To echo the eloquence of prior commenters - wow!
Pierre Cavalli is fantastic. One of these few guitarists who has introduced Telecaster to jazz.
Documento eccezionale.con Gulda Surman e per me favoloso Weller alla tromba Chapeau!!
Wheeler!
great
Great stuff! The band and the music sound great.
Friedrich sorta looks like a very stoned German philosophy professor when he talks to the audience! Two extra stars for the guitar player's haircut.
Gulda was Austrian
Super, grazie
Gracias por compartir esta obra de arte. Saludos desde México.
Vraiment magnifique !
Wow!
WOW!! Thanks B P J!!!
Herr Gulda made some remarkable recordings of Beethoven piano sonatas a decade or so before, which were issued in the UK on Decca.
god kenny looks young here!
he was 42 then.
Wow, Matt! Why haven't I seen this before now? I am not familiar with these German musicians, but of course I know Surman, Wheeler and Phillips. This is magnificent, right down to Surman's plaid pants and orange leather belt! Do you know if this performance has been released on CD or LP? Thanks for sharing.
Surman and Wheeler are on their way to being the giants they became....not sure about that guitarist though....
anyone know what kinda electric piano he's using on the Bossa track?
Hohner Electra
Sax player looks like Howard Moon (Mighty Boosh)
TERRIFIC
