Hi Janice, many, many thanks for your video. I have dismounted my punch card reader to clean it in Petroleum and with WD 40. Although all 24 needles fell on the floor. But with your video I was able to repare it. Now I understand your video :-))). After this procedure I injected it with gun oil. Now it works again.
Thanks so much for this! My "New To Me" punch card machine came in today. Turns out 5 of the pins where out of place and would not work. Followed the directions and replaced the pins, and it works!!!!!! Thanks!!
You wouldn’t happen to have a video with commentary in how to put those pins back in do you? Mine have all fallen out and I don’t know how to get them back in.
Hi. Thanks for a great video, but it does not work. I have replaced needles for 7 times right now. Followed everything you showed. But that does not work at all. It got even worse. More needles are out of order. I needed to clean the machine for my wife, and had to release card reader. So after that it stopped working. And now nothing. Its impossible to get it back in order... I placed empty space as you showed on a right side wheel (dont know how to call it right). And placed the belt the way you showed (it was the other way for this machine and it is the same way for her kh260 also). Changed it back as it was. And still nothing...
It is very interesting, but I don't understand, what you are doing there. Are you cleaning it or repairing something? My problem is, that the white driving shaft not works. If I move the round thing on the right side under the orange plastic, I get only a loud clicking noise. Do you have an idea what's wrong?
Hi, My punch card mechanism was not working, it would not make the pattern, this is the solution to that, I have a blog that tells you how to change a belt and clean the machine,it might just be that the belt is not aligned, or needing an oil and clean, machineknittinguk.wordpress.com/
