I stand by my belief that this woman, Natalia Makarova is the greatest, finest ever to grace the most graceful of professional ballet. Of all that have come and gone--Anna Pavolva, Margot Fonteyn, Gelsey Kirkland, Suzanne Farrell, Kay Mazzo, Maria Tallchief... damn it, do any of them even come close? Even the likes of ballet's favored child Mikhail Baryshnikov, seems undermined by the likes of "Natasha." There is only one. Will there ever be another? --"Natasha" Forever, Dane Youssef
Natasha (Natalia) is my favourite Russian ballerina. A very close second, comes Altynai Asylmuratova. Misha is incomparable; he really is unique and brilliant. There can be only one!
@SURFUR I love natascha, but I think everyone has his own taste. One thinks Anna Pavlova is the best, the other says Svetlana Zakharova is the best and some say you can't even compare other dancers to Misha because he is a whole never level. That is what I love about ballet there is not one 'the best' everyone has his or her amazing qualities that makes him or her special.
Waht about Maya Plisetskaya? To my mind, she has to be amongst the best. Tallchief was a very fine athlete and Anna Pavlova a real celebrity, and probably the most famous. The others ae not in the smae arena as Maya to my mind. I do like Margot's presence, but...
This is amazing. She explains how she does what she does - walks on a cloud! Incredible more people haven't seen this. A hidden treasure.
Thank you so much for sharing this! These 3 minutes are more worth it than a whole month of expensive classes!!!
Who’s more awesome that her? No one, ever!
