The amount of confusion on your face at Dora high fiving you gave me such the giggles. I think the looks so good. I used to put thread bars on my stomachers and hooks on the inside of my bodice edge. The nice thing about that is it kept tension just fine and I could adjust if needed. I probably overkilled it, but I put a lot.
re: the sleeves, if you look at the illustrations of Felicity's outfits in the books, the sleeves DO dip down below the elbow. that's clearly what is MEANT to happen on the doll, so you are on the right track.
It's all coming together beautifully. Loved the pinking detail on the trim. The use of the two different ribbons also works so very well that I didn't even realize they were different when I saw the pictures on Instagram.
Dora is so adorable! ☺ Some interesting ways she has communicating with you, that I haven't seen in other cats! 😆 Love the dress by the way! 😁 As always your work is admirable ❤
I don't think Dora wants attention... no... not at all. Also, man corsets do great for redistributing areas. I should try that out one day... Also, omg that looks AMAZING and Sooo similar to Falicity
I LOVE when you make yourself into a life-size American Girl doll!! Felicity's dress is pretty and you captured it perfectly! I can't wait for the next video and the reveal!!😍
it's looks amazing. i love the stomachar with the ombre colored ribbon. the cutest part of this video was when it looked like Dora gave you a little high five that was just adorable!
My two daughters had Felicity and this dress! Technically they still do because she and all of their AG stuff are safely packed in my basement. Love love love AG!
This dress is so beautiful! By the way, with your American Girl Doll videos you inspired me to do something kind of similar. I do Viking Age reenactment and I thought why not buy dolls to dress in Viking clothes. That way I can show people for example what Vikings wore during winter - without actually having to pack all of my me-sized winter clothing. So thank you very much!
This dress is beautiful and I love the way you did all the trims and lace! Can you add a narrow strip of taffeta to each side of the stomacher to hold snaps, or maybe buttonholes for flat buttons? I like how you adapt your cosplays for ease of dressing!
Yeah, I was definitely thinking five ribbons for the placket would be bet. It keeps the same balance as Felicity's, I think. And wow does it look like you just hit enlarge on Felicity's dress! Amazing! Good luck with the contest, I hope you were able to get your submission in in time.
Had to go back and watch the first video because I missed it! Absolutely stunning! I hope you make more American Girl doll dresses cuz it’s so cute to match with your doll! ❤
That was such a cute Dora moment. With the pleat bulk in the back, have a look at Costuming Drama's Italian dress pattern test video part 1 from maybe two weeks ago? She showed how to deal with the skirt pleats at a pointed bodice, something I'm interested in since I discovered when wedding dress shopping that a v-waist style compliments my brick-with-boobs body shape quite well and the pleats coming out from under it lets me pretend I have hips! Also with the stomacher, maybe snaps to align it and hold it in place, and use a couple pins to reinforce it if needed or attach where the snaps can't go or won't stay snapped? And good call on the rotary cutter scallopped edges, that probably saved several hours and a lot of bulk for turning edges!
Congratulations on the Cinderella finale! Also, kudos on the progress of Felicity's dress, it looks wonderful! My favorite so far, and I've loved all of your AG dresses!
A suggestion tossed out there just to make you laugh is that you would look cute in a Dora costume (I mean your cat) The Felicity gown looks awesome and you are stunning
Some wire ribbon is slightly tighter where the wire is opposed to the edge....it helps when curling. Most folks don't notice....until they removed the wire.
This reminds me of the pink round gown you made. love these. Sorry to hear Cinderella is closing. Any future jobs on the horizon? Worry about you being out of work ( non RUclips that is). Good luck .
Yep, I'll talk more about the stomacher closures in the next video. If I can figure out the whole patterning thing, then this is one I could potentially release.
How many American Girl dolls do you have, and what is the total number of dresses for the dolls? The total you come up with is the amount of human-size AG dresses I would love to watch you sew. 😁It's too bad you can't hide zippers on both sides of the stomacher. The dress is beautiful! xoxo's Sandie🤗
@@LadyRebeccaFashions that makes sense :) I had only reached the point where you were dealing with the rippling from removing the wire on the ribbon, the dress turned out beautifully!

It’s official! Dora wants a Felicity dress!
the dress is looking amazing!
and it made me smile watching the clips with Dora. she just wants to help, mom! lol
Dora was cracking me up.🐈 Love the dress. Great job.😀

I love this dress so much!! Felicity's blue ballgown was my dream dress as a child.
Same! And thank you!
Dora is so funny. She wants the limelight as much as you do. What a character!
13:35 sewing with cats! 😂
What about hooks and eyes/bars?
I LOVE your costume! You look amazing?
It's coming together so beautifully! I'd never seen pinking rotary before.
I would attach one side of the stomacher to the bodice and hook and eye the other side.
There's two different stomachers, so I had to do hooks and bars on both sides.
Cats bite to say they love... So Dora is giving you Valentine's Day kisses apparently.
re: the sleeves, if you look at the illustrations of Felicity's outfits in the books, the sleeves DO dip down below the elbow. that's clearly what is MEANT to happen on the doll, so you are on the right track.
22:17 she was high fiving the good work

HA HA HA love that Dora gave you a high 5 saying it looks great
Dora is so adorable! ☺ Some interesting ways she has communicating with you, that I haven't seen in other cats! 😆

It looks really good on you. For the stomacher, maybe a combination of poppers and pins? Do up the poppers and then pin the odd areas? Much faster.
I wound up using hooks and bars, and it worked great! I'll talk about it in next week's video.
I don't think Dora wants attention... no... not at all. Also, man corsets do great for redistributing areas. I should try that out one day... Also, omg that looks AMAZING and Sooo similar to Falicity
I thought I would prefer the white lacy stomacher, but those pink bows on the blue look AMAZING on you!
Also, I love how much Dora adores you!
I LOVE when you make yourself into a life-size American Girl doll!! Felicity's dress is pretty and you captured it perfectly! I can't wait for the next video and the reveal!!😍
That sailor outfit is adorable. You've done a great job with Felicity's dress.
i saw the stomacher on insta and it looks so great in motion ^_^
you have my winning vote.
Super cute!!!! ❣
That dress lokks stunning on you. Perfect color for you.
I like the your modifications to the pink ribbon stomacher to make the proportions more balanced.
How clever with your pinking rotary blades! I would have never thought of that and it was genius. Looks amazing.
Yay! Looks awesome!!
Blue is super flattering on you! The Felicity dress looks fantastic! Super excited to see the results!
That ribbon stomacher is gorgeous!
it's looks amazing. i love the stomachar with the ombre colored ribbon. the cutest part of this video was when it looked like Dora gave you a little high five that was just adorable!
Love the dress and I love Dora❤❤❤
It came out beautiful!!
Thank you!
My two daughters had Felicity and this dress! Technically they still do because she and all of their AG stuff are safely packed in my basement. Love love love AG!
The outfit you're currently wearing is lovely. Lavender really suits you.
Congratulations on your Cinderella run!! This dress is coming along so nicely!
Thank you!

❤Dora is the cutest!!!! I love her!❤
Your details to ALL the pleats & ruffles are mesmerizing. So excited to see your completed matching dresses/outfits! 😁
So glad you got to make one of your dream dresses! It looks amazing!

Thank you! I just found out I'll be competing!
Is anyone truly ever in the mood to do sleeves?
Had to go back and watch the first video because I missed it! Absolutely stunning! I hope you make more American Girl doll dresses cuz it’s so cute to match with your doll! ❤
Thanks! I did a few others last year - have you seen those yet? I linked a playlist with those other four cosplays in the description.
@@LadyRebeccaFashions I have not but I’ll watch them now!! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Your dress looks amazing. You will look fantastic.

I wound up doing hooks and eyes for the stomacher. I'll have to rewatch Noelle's video - I didn't remember what she did with the pleats.
Congratulations on the Cinderella finale! Also, kudos on the progress of Felicity's dress, it looks wonderful! My favorite so far, and I've loved all of your AG dresses!
That blue is so very much your colour, gorgeous against your pale skin
Thank you! It's my favorite color to wear. ☺️
Everything looks amazing.
Felicity: Mom! Mom! Mom! Moooooooom! MOM!
For the stomacher situation. Hooks and eyes! or hooks and thread bars! Sturdy, quick to attach, and low profile.
Yep, that's what I wound up doing!
your outfit looks so pretty today, love your neckline, very flattering.
Dora asking for pets is the CUTEST!!!!
It's looking SO good!
Looking really good!!!!!

Some wire ribbon is slightly tighter where the wire is opposed to the edge....it helps when curling. Most folks don't notice....until they removed the wire.
Oh, interesting!
@@LadyRebeccaFashions ya look at the tension between the bottom of the ribbon and the wired side of the ribbon ...there will be a difference.
@@peepla7 this had wire on both edges.
@@LadyRebeccaFashions that's true.
You’ve probably already done it but on the off chance you haven’t, I recon that hooks and bars would work well for the stomachers 😊
Yep, that's what I wound up doing!
For the stomacher, you could stitch one side and pin the other, it should be easier to center.
Unfortunately there's two stomachers, so that doesn't work. I did hooks and bars on both sides.
This reminds me of the pink round gown you made. love these. Sorry to hear Cinderella is closing. Any future jobs on the horizon? Worry about you being out of work ( non RUclips that is). Good luck .
Thank you! I actually just started a new office job last week!
@@LadyRebeccaFashions thank the job gods. Good luck. Keep sewing. Love your stuff🥰🙏👍
@@lindagoesel3815 thank you!
Where can we find a sewing pattern for this one? The stomacher is very important so I would love to see a third video
Yep, I'll talk more about the stomacher closures in the next video. If I can figure out the whole patterning thing, then this is one I could potentially release.

I'm up to 15 dolls now, and I have no idea how many outfits! 😱
@@LadyRebeccaFashions Yahooooooo!
Hook and eye closures for the stomacher? Or a pair of corset busks?
Hook and eye closure worked great! (I'll talk more about it next week)
Why not do hooks and eyes for the stomacher?
That's what I wound up doing.
i love the dress, it looks gorgeous!! do you think you could use hooks and eyes for the stomacher?
Thanks! And yep, that's what I wound up doing.
I mean, the dress is beautiful, but there is some quality Dora cuteness in this video
For your next American Girl doll cosplay maybe Molly or addy or joesafina
Is the top pinky ribbon twisted through the opposite to the others
They're all twisted the same direction, but I think the top one doesn't lay quite as nicely as the others.
Will you make a pinner cap to go with?
Yep, it's in the next video!
💙💕💙💕💙
For the ribbon, would it be possible for you to ombre dye your own using something like chiffon ?
I don't think so. Chiffon would be way too sheer, and then you'd also have to finish the edges like ribbon. Much easier to just buy ribbon.
@@LadyRebeccaFashions that makes sense :) I had only reached the point where you were dealing with the rippling from removing the wire on the ribbon, the dress turned out beautifully!
@@eeyore_chick6059 thanks!
I hope you won the contest at cosplay your 1st place in my book
if it were me, I'd use zippers on the sides of the stomachers.... it would be hidden under the trim.
Dora wanted some me time
🇨🇦😃
What is a whopper-popper?
Large snaps.
@@LadyRebeccaFashions ahhh ok thanks.
Stomacher giving me bisexual vibes I love it
