      Hi Greg. I just newly subbed. Thanks for the insightful content. A quick question pls. How do you verify (100 percent ) if an inscription / sentence is copyrighted or not?
      For example I was passing by a pizza shop today, and the owner wrote on an advert board ' Life is Sweet ..Pizza is Sweeter.
      This inspired a quote in my mind (for a chocolate T-shirt, for example) ; ' Life is Choco-licious ( ie; fution of chocolate and Delicious ). How do I verify if this has not been used by any one of millions of chocolate companies around the world? Thanks. I look forward to your response.

      Can I ask a question?
      Why I can’t see my products on TeePublic marketplace? Do they have some similar “Trust score” system? For example, RedBubble immediately starts showing your products on their marketplace, but why TeePublic don’t? Is it similar with the TeeSpring?

    That's why it's a must to put in multiple platforms. When I upload on tchip it's almost instant. Teespring keeps it hidden until you can push a sale through. Not sure how others can find your product when you can't find it yourself. But uploading on more than one platform helps for sure. Thanks for the help

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  4 года назад +2

      Agreed David :) Merch by Amazon and Redbubble are instant too. In the beginning for Teespring you have to send people to your designs. I recommend putting them into a storefront and sending that link out. I use niche specific Instagram pages to Niche specific storefronts. This video will explain if you're interested in learning more :) ruclips.net/video/-WrX6qD7G8U/видео.html

      @@GregGottfried yes I have watched the video before. It was good. My niche instgra m s are split. Some on teepring and the newest is on tchip. And I am thinking the next niche will be on merch. Worried about having multiple Amazon account for different niche. And not sure if I want a general store on merch.

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  4 года назад +1

      Keep in mind the niche storefront is just to be used in the beginning phases fo Teespring to get some of your own sales on your account, to get the Trust Score kickstarted, and all the free marketing started. Once you get a few sales on your Teespring account, you no longer need to use storefronts or Instagram at all :) With that said, I think you really only need 1 niche storefront and 1 niche Instagram page to drive traffic to Teespring. Merch by Amazon and Redbubble do marketing for you from day 1 so you dont have to do the whole Instagram strategy to get sales. If you did it for Merch, I could see the benefit as helping you get sales to tier up faster, but long run I dont think it's necessary at all (there's a point of diminishing return on your time spent) and your time is best spent creating and upload more designs. Also you can use the same "brand name" to create a niche store on Merch so you dont need to make multiple accounts. I hope that helps!

    Hi Greg, thanks for all your great advice. It has really improved my game.
    My experience is vastly different from yours with regards to Teespring. Long story short, I have had several people ,complaining to me over the Instagram advertising I have been doing that they cannot buy the shirts I advertise on Teespring. I tested it, and they are right. Something weird is going on when they try to order anything that is not on the front page of the listing (eg. choosing a women's tee does not show up in their cart). I don't expect you to be an expert in this. I have contacted Teespring Support on several occasions, on this and other matters, and they seem to want to answer questions I do not ask, or only answer part of a question, and the easy part at that, I have an outstanding issue that defies logic, and have also received a number of "copyright" flags that were sequentially rescinded but cost me a lot of time to address.
    I have worked in small business and for companies such as GE, I am aware how to correspond with the over-worked people in Support. I have 3 unanswered emails going back two months. Silence.
    The metrics provided to me from small Facebook ads do not line up with the Teespring Analytics. I understand Facebook have a vested interest in inflating the figures, but they do line up with Teepublic and Viral Style metrics. I am getting sales on those platforms, but out of 150 designs on Teespring have yet to sell one, I strongly suspect the inability of customers to add items to their cart has something to do with it.
    I am done. I am pulling shirts from Teespring. I will continue to be a subscriber as you give fantastic content. I won't be watching anything you have on Teespring though. Something's rotten in Denmark.
    Keep up the fantastic work
    Cheers,
    Tony

      @@GregGottfriedI like creating things , I have a question if I upload hundreds over time like how much can I expect to earn can I get it up to like $500 a month. I have tested a lot of things that don't work not for lack of effort but because I get though outed stuff by fake gurus

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  4 года назад +1

      It's average about $1/per active listing/per month (and that goes for Teespring, Merch by Amazon, and RedBubble). Hope that makes sense, for example 100 shirts on each site is about $300/mo total (or $100/mo from each site). Every time I make a sale, I get between $2-$10 depending on how big the margin is set on that product. The $1 I'm talking about it to give you a best average on my entire accounts earnings per month. You may have 100 designs live, but only make 20 sales that month. Not every design will sell every month. So if we are averaging between $2-10 per sale (and we got 20 per month) that averages $100 profit that month. With 100 designs, that comes out to about $1 per active design on the account. I hope that helps!

    Teepublic Designs not showing in search results? Why? 40 designs, profile picture, proper store front.
    Hello,so i setup teepublic account,there is 40 designs, proper store cover. My designs didn't show on search results. I contacted them through email. This is the answer i got from them. By the way i want to say that i seen peoples stores in search results with two designs only. What is the problem?? If it was copyrights they would took my designs down. Ithink also that quality of my work is not that bad. Seen much worse.
    First off, thank you for uploading to TeePublic. We appreciate how much work goes into each design, and we thank you! While TeePublic is an open platform where anyone can host and sell from their own storefront, our site's discovery tools is more curated. Due to legal or creative reasons, your designs will not show up in search or on the "new" or "browse" areas of the site. However, you will still be able to sell your work through the direct link to your page or to the individual product pages

    Hey Greg - everybody! Soooo I'm embarassed to admit the following BUT I am always the first one to say "my bad" if I was wrong about something - I had followed all the steps Greg laid out including setting up a new email to use for TeeSpring. I had commented my frustration a few times on here and I have now figured out what happened, well somewhat. So first of all my apologies. They actually WERE responding to me and also sending me my paypal confirmation emails BUT there weren't showing up in my Gmail at ALL! I would get an email from them about every 3 days in my main inbox ( their answers still lack in substance but I digress ) the OTHER emails, including the paypal confirmation were all getting dumped into a tab I never checked when I set up the gmail account AND next to "important" where it dumped them there was not a number like X amount of emails, etc. So, I had no idea anything was there - somehow I found them by accident and went in and changed those settings but this caused me a huge amount of stress and it was all something new with Gmail I was unaware of. I guess that was a default I missed from the get go BUT I just wanted to number 1 say "my bad" and number 2 they still answered all my questions with basically repeating my issue, never a resolution however maybe they were confused because the automatic emails had actually been sent to me - I just never SAW them. They seem to send from a different email when answering you from "sellers@teespring" and the automatic emails from the system went to a hidden email tab...hope this helps someone. Unfortunately, I gave up and deleted the whole store I'd worked night and day on - and it looked great too. Maybe I'll start over (emoticon for scrunchy face). Get your stuff up for Mother's Day sales soon! :) Thank you Greg for teaching so well, sorry I am such a dummy!!! Much love, happy selling. J

      Hey Josette! Thanks for the comment! It's likely just a matter of time now. I've seen the trust score taking about a month to kick in, and just this morning spoke with someone who is still waiting on his second month now! It seems to be unpredictable on how soon the trust score and marketing kicks in. I have a big feeling it's moving towards a manual account review once you meet the trust score requirements (and that's what's taking so long). I'd keep pushing forward and be sure to also be on Merch by Amazon and Redbubble for diversification and extra free traffic! I hope that helps and I'm here to help if you need me :)

It can't even load previews. (I'm using their recommended Shirt resolution/dimensions). 😂😭😂😭😂😭😂😭 It is literally impossible to work with. I admit it, I'm a newibie, however not only are my new designs not in the Teespring marketplace, they do not appear in my own listings for editing. Of the 15 products I've launched, only 2 even offered the option for defining Public or Private listings. Also, Teespring suggests setting the Location setting in Listings to International for increased sales, but I never get that option in my very limited Listings page. What still isn't clear enough to me though, is: once you create individual Teespring storefronts, Instagram accounts and Facebook pages for each niche, how do you keep them all under your brand? Moreover, in this video you say that once Teespring gives you the Trust Score, it is assigned to all your past, present and future creations. How can they even find out which ones belong to you, if they are all uploaded as individual storefronts? Thanks a mill and keep up the good work!

    Question: Suppose I made a design that sold really well. What's to prevent someone with a bigger reach from copying it and making much more money off of it than I, who is just starting out, could? Also, when is it a good idea to trademark your design?

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  4 года назад

      Great question! If you made the design yourself, you technically own the copyright to it informally by being the original work creator. This means if someone copies your design, you can email the POD website and report it. They will look to see that you uploaded it first, and that it is in fact a copy, and they will remove it. If you wanted to go further, you can formally protect your designs for about $500 each with the government.. I've done it in the past and I dont recommend it.. The only difference is if you need to go to court (would not likely ever get to this point), you would be able to show proof of formal protection filed.

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  4 года назад

      Hey Diane! Thanks for asking! Let me see what I can whip up for you guys :) In the meantime, use the standard single item uploader, not the multiple item uploader. Make up a brand name, just make sure it's not copyrighted, and you can reuse the brand name of same niche shirts to put them into the same storefront. Dont worry about key features and description. And lastly, and most importantly, you'll need to resize your design files to be accepted in the upload process. 4500 x 5400 px is what you need. You can go to bulkresizephotos.com and select all the designs you want to resize, then set scale to 100%, exact size on the left side, 4500 x 5400, expert mode at the bottom, png, then resize. Then you can upload those designs to Merch. I hope that helps! If you have any more questions let me know in a new comment (instead of a reply) so it goes to the top of my notifications :)

    Thank you so much for this video. I wanted to ask an off topic question. If I have more than one POD shops, should I use same description and hashtags for the same design in all shops or It's better to generate more hashtags and descriptions?

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  4 года назад

      Thanks for asking! Each of your shops should be about a specific niche. With that said, your design should likely only be in 1 shop. Also, the shops (storefronts) pull the title/description from the designs listing so it would be the same if you added that design listing to multiple shops. The hashtags are on the Instagram posts only and not in the actual storefront or design listings. I hope that helps answer!

      The countdown is a timer until the item would go to print. It's designed to create urgency for buyers and get them to place orders because they don't know if the item will no longer be available after the timer ends. According to their studies, it increases conversions by a large deal. The timer will reset and start from 3 days and countdown to the next print every time (so it never truly expires). If you did want to turn it off you c an do it in the settings page though!

    I just shared mine on insta and put teesprings hashtags and after a while I tried to visit the teespring page again but unfortunately the items are not appearing. I don't know if it is copyrighted but I'm sure I don't have a buyer yet. This is sad for me.

    hi... i saw no space for adding tags in listing on teespring... is using tags for listing is available or now it is tag free method ? just using keywords in title and description will do all the seo activity?

      Great question! Teespring is beginning to phase out tags so some accounts are losing tag abilities. This is not a good or bad thing for us. It just means they will not be using them in their sorting/ranking system anymore (the keywords in the description take their place). I dont believe this has been announced publicly yet, but that's the behind the scenes of what's going on.

    Why dont they just tell them what's happened instead of leaving them in the dark? Is keeping sellers the only good option? Do they provide a way for sellers to check if their design or wording is trademarked?

    Hi Greg, thanks for these informative videos, it actually inspired us to start creating our own designs on Teespring! Question for you.... we recently made a design that tripped off the Teespring trademark protection. We got a warning email saying that this can happen sometimes and to be careful moving forward. Will this mistake set us back from being searchable on Google? We have been working at it for a month already and have had 6-7 sales so far. Any feedback would be appreciated!

    Thanks Greg.
    Out of interest, do you know if Redbubble or Merch count personal sales toward your sales targets? So, if I bought my own shirts on those two platforms, would my accounts benefit from organic sales too?
    Also - Teespring - if a lot of sales suddenly happened in my city, would that help my trust score?
    Thanks again!

      Thanks for the comment Robert! Great question (and timely because I just recorded a video today about this!). Yes, your own sales do count on Merch by Amazon. Redbubble does not have a system that requires sales so it is not applicable. Buying your own items of Teespring does not count. Buying your own items on Merch is just to "tier up" or move into the next tier that allows you to upload a higher total number of designs. Technically, yes you can make sales from your city on Teespring and have no negative impact of your trust score. If that's what's needed to get your first few sales on Teespring to get the marketing started, then I support it :)

    We can use any download picture from Pinterest??
    Only we can put some downloaded design in teespring? There have no option to draw something new or edit the picture. Only we can put some picture and write some text?

    Hi Greg, first of all my Gratitude to you Greg. I created a storefront and two listings but some how could not put either listings to connect to Storefront. (I must of gone around in circles 10 times in Teespring). When I go to Storefront that has my Banner and select ALL PRODUCTS no T -Shirts appear. Any suggestions would be appreciated ?
