I had a job interview where they asked me to sing a song and I passed and said maybe when we know each other better. They also asked if I wanted to redo any one question and I didn’t. I had a feeling they did not want to hire me. I wish I would have sang the song: “Asking only workman’s wages I go looking for a job but I get no offers. Just a come on from the ‘gals’ on seventh avenue. I do declare there were times when I was so lonesome I took come comfort there …”. Or the Beatles: “Don’t let me down, Don’t let me doowwn! …”

empathic distress: maybe that is how teachers feel in general, and maybe that is why they are leaving the field in hordes.

Its probably for the best that you just announce him as Adam Grant and not say that he has any connection to Wharton School. You know, because Jeremy Siegel.

That old guy offered absolutely nothing of substance..."What's your kindergarten teacher's name?" "Improving from a D to a C?" Super odd that he cannot wrap his brain around someone improving from a C to an A.

Adam Grant wants everyone to know that "natural talent is overrated", and then doesn't tell us why or what exactly is 'natural talent', not to mention that he never mentioned that people should double down on theirs (➡️natural talent). smh 😐

I mean it’s obvious lol, you progress at a much faster rate and display a significantly higher level of skill compared to others in your age group. And he did address the fact that child prodigies often burn out because of increased expectations placed on them. Obviously you should double down if you know how to handle it in a healthy way.
