But spend more money will again of course make our lives a little nicer. :)
I'm from West London, UK. I have one. Its amazing. Its even more amazing now I have it connected to a Cambridge Edge W stereo power amp. I shaped the low end to fit my room, so now there are no unwanted lumps or bumps. I had to use a relatively not-cheap interconnect to get the right sound out of the RCA output, to the Cambridge, but now its a pretty complete sound. My speakers are Tannoy XT6f which punch well above their price range, and go down to about 26hz in my room. So, yeah, pretty complete sound.
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog I opted for Chord Shawline X. Comparing the cable to a set of (admittedly much cheaper) QED Performance 40 interconnects, they just cleaned up any smudginess of the soundstage (which was also present while using the Lyngdorf on its own). Frequencies kept intact and all dynamics improved a bit too.

I feel the same way you do. Dirac in my 2 channel preamp is a game changer. The air and space between instruments from before and after is jaw dropping. Keep in mind, that depended on the actual speakers. With my Kef Q950's, the difference after correction was a complete 180°. With my Martin Logan 60 XTi's, it only cleaned up a couple little areas. Does that tell me the MLs are a more complete speaker top to bottom? I belive so. Fantastic video. Thank you sir. 🙏

You might want to retry Hotel California with the Music or Music 2 Voicing which should calm it down a bit. I have been running an 1120 for about 3 years now with a 2.2 setup which frees up some power for the mid and treble. The HDMI eARC is good for TV use too.
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog I fancy a 3400 with 2400 power amp for bi-amping but way out of budget, oh well no harm in dreaming! They did like your review I found it through a mailshot from Lyngdorf. Btw I am in the UK.
It does have a phono input and 1 pair of RCA inputs...so not all digital? Can still hookup analog equipment and outside a turntable and a CD player/external dac, what else would one need more for except legacy products like a tape player? At the size and price, its a seemingly nice all in one with pre outs for the sub? Can the sub be calibrated for low frequency cutoff? Also, class D isn't digital as many call it. The internal dac is a D2A convertor but the amp itself isn't digital as many seem to still refer to it. Any signal we end up listening to is in analog.
Now you have one more fan from the country that, besides Lyngdorf, has enriched the world with Wegovy, Lego, Carlsberg, and Maersk - and all this with only 5 million inhabitants. Regardless, thank you for a good and fair review. I eagerly anticipate seeing more from your hand. My apologies for not being able to find a picture of James Bond
Genoa, Italy. I've had my tdai 1120 for more than a year, with a pair of Dali Rubicon 2s which are 4 ohms the Lyngdorf delivers 120 watts.. I never use it beyond half the volume knob, I live in a condominium. I always wonder if a much more powerful amp could give a different result at same listening volume. The fantastic thing, besides the RP, are the Voicings
I think you are sitting pretty with the Daii's. A sub could be beneficial, even in a small space. You don't have to crank it but it might give the music a little more foundation!
Bob, as you know, ChiFi is dominating the amp scene right now. Going on that premise, is this amp good enough to justify the purchase price vs. Wiim, SMSL, Topping, etc? $2400 is a chunk of change for most of the average folks in the USOA. We are looking at $125 to $500 for a nice Chinese amp that performs well and that is my reason for asking. Lyngdorf is a premium product for sure and I’m sure that the quality is supreme. Also, no remote at this price could be a deal killer. One other caveat : Some of us would prefer tone controls over preset EQ’s. Does this amp have pre - outs?
There is bass and treble adjustment in the app. Yes there are pre outs. They are right next to the analog inputs. I will say again the RC was impressive, not subtle. An old Lyngdorf standalone correction unit runs over $1000 used. Affordability is up to the individual. I think there is real value here, but yes, the price is a barrier for most. A WiiM amp will only get you part of the way there. Thanks!
Bob, nice job. Im a fan of the Forte and Cornwall. Pretty spectacular speakers. Keep wearing the suit. Gotta show that gym work off! I’m from Raleigh, NC. Nothing exciting about that.
I have TDAI 1120 for a year now. Great amp, excelent sound but will be upgrading to bigger brother since i need few more analog inputs. Btw for your pin dropping action, Varazdin; Croatia
Had a tdai2200 for a decade now....for the vast majority of us that dont have a custom room but have to make our hifi work in our normal living, this is end game. The room correction is just amazing. My only wish is that they did this just as a pre amp.
Great video and first time viewer. You are a great talent BTW. I was seriously considering this amp but got a great deal on a MF M5si. I would really like that room correction stuff though. Cheers from Sydney Australia.
I'm from Derby in the UK. My "listening" room is almost a perfect cube - which, acoustically is just about the worst ratio you could have. But, sadly I have to work with what I've got. I've not done any scientific measurements but my ears tell me a lot. Even tiny changes to speaker position have a huge effect - including height of course. My recently acquired Dali Oberon 3's are the most room sympathetic speakers I've had and I get decent results with these. Now, if I could just sit and listen for more than a minute without making micro-adjustments to their position, that would be great 🙄😂
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog I saw your album cover of Kamakiriad - just rediscovering that and I'm enjoying it immensely. Plus of course "Morph the cat too" 👍
Hook this amp up to the Radiant Clarity 6.2 speakers, these are 4 Ohms and the amp will give you then 120W per channel!! The speakers (bookshelf) give you 35HZ low, very audiofile sound for a reasonable price. This is an 'all digital' amp, no class-D and therefore it sounds very pure, fast and no need for onboard dacs etc.
Hi jonw from Cornwall uk. I’m thinking of purchasing this unit. Great review. Have vintage Kef 105/1 not sure if this amp would be right for these old speakers???
Excellent review. I'm curious if you tried any of the different voicings when you had this amp . You recommended pairing this with speakers on the slightly warmer side. I'm assuming that you were on the default neutral voicing. Do you (or anyone else reading this) think that moving to another voicing may have made the amp able to better accommodate a more detailed speaker or harsher recordings.
Hello from Bucharest! Thank you for the excellent review! Just a question? do you think the Lyngdorf could be able to successfully drive a pair of loudspeakers Dali Oberon 7 (88.5db, 6 ohms)?
WOW..... "AI Cheap Audioman" is truly the stuff of nightmares! I hope me makes more guest appearances. Nice review; Lyngdorf doesn't come up for review often and isn't talked about much but everytime I do hear something is generally really positive, particularly their custom room correction. Kinda a moot point cause I just ordered a G700 Mk II anyway but would you say the Technics is more universal when it comes to speaker selection? Also, speaking of Technics and room correction the Technics GX70 streaming amp has room correction so I'd be shocked if the G700 Mk III doesn't include it.
Thank you for your fine review! I currently have the Martin Logan ElectroMotion ESL (91dB sensitivity) and one SVS 3000 Micro Sub. I am on the fence as whether TDAI-1120 is enough power to drive these electrostats or is it a match musically. I am also looking at NAD M10 V2 as another option for an all in one box. I would love to hear your comments. Thank you!
1120 - It has enough power. I drive KEF R3 Meta with 1120. Not listening higher than 70db in 20 sq m room with high ceiling. It drives my speakers perfectly.
I listened to it before and was underwhelmed by the vinyl - I didn’t know about the gain setting though. I wonder how the NAD would compare if you got the Dirac and Streaming MDC2 module?
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog I would hope that they would offer you one for testing. Given that you’ve gone more than halfway and it’s the part of the amp that is going to make it really stand out.
Great video, unfortunately you’ll loose most viewers at 4:20min after you mention the price ;) Many or most of us here are followers of Cheap Audio Man channel, you know which price bracket we fall under ;-) I am personally currently sitting on a fence between WiiM amp and Eversolo A6, btw. Trouble with airplay support, depending on the version, it does not support lossless audio, and I forgot how the mix is, I know the NEWER version does not support lossless but the older does, go figure.

The fantastic thing, besides the RP, are the Voicings
I think you are sitting pretty with the Daii's. A sub could be beneficial, even in a small space. You don't have to crank it but it might give the music a little more foundation!
Tigard Oregon, looking very dapper my man!
Thanks! I don't dress for the equipment I have... I dress for the equipment I want! Thanks!
Hey, man... you're keeping Raleigh cool!
Curious, are you old enough to remember ESS speakers with the Heil Air Motion Transformer?
I've got enough miles on me, but I don't have any experience with those!
From Edmonton Alberta Canada. Love the channel!
I’m from Denmark, and I have a TDAI myself
How do you like it? Was I correct?
Great job. I`m from Medellin - Colombia South America
Thanks a lot! I'm happy you enjoyed it joined us!
You should write to them and suggest it!
An interesting and compelling product. Thank you for the low down and analysis my friend. BTW, ditch the MQA. I think it is ma moribund format. Sorry.
Well... I don't hate it and it was included so... I just look at it as another flavor!
Well... it's included! I guess I look at it as just another flavor! Thanks, my friend!
Now, if I could just sit and listen for more than a minute without making micro-adjustments to their position, that would be great 🙄😂
The struggle is real! I wish you the best in your quest. I think we all have challenges with regards to our rooms. Keep on keeping on!
Quality review! Thanks for the info!
Glad it was helpful!
Hey Bob, love the channel. From Brian in Askeaton, County Limerick Ireland.
Love me some Ireland. Been there 5 tim s! Thanks for the support! Slainte'!
Hi jonw from Cornwall uk. I’m thinking of purchasing this unit. Great review. Have vintage Kef 105/1 not sure if this amp would be right for these old speakers???
Nice review - here the old Lyngdorf 2170 teams brilliantly together with Maggies LRS and dual REL T/5X /Michael from Denmark
Man... I'd like to hear those LRS. Did you add a subwoofer?
Man... I'd like to hear those LRS. Did you add a subwoofer?
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog oh yes - the two REL’s 😉
Listened to Hotel California afterwards... I just heard a beautiful tune. Is it something wrong with my equipment or my tester?
No. I was streaming a flax file on some very revealing speakers. I've heard it better, warmer on vinyl.
Pretty tough to find an all analog device for sale nowadays. This amp is very handsome.
Agreed! That's why my channel is leaning into some digital stuff! I appreciate your support!
Yamaha's higher-end integrateds are all analog by design and probably to their sales detriment.
Great review, thanks.
Manchester U.K.
Thanks for watching!

Great review. Question: 1120 after room Correction or Unity Atom. Based on sound alone ?
Hello from Bucharest! Thank you for the excellent review!
Just a question? do you think the Lyngdorf could be able to successfully drive a pair of loudspeakers Dali Oberon 7 (88.5db, 6 ohms)?
No hate. Love the channel.
Thank you, Fly! I do it all for you!
Guess you've already pinned Sofia in Bulgaria, if not, please do so:-) Great channel! Keep doing this show!
I think it has phono calibration for cartridges. Not sure about room correction!
Watching this via Starlink on a tugboat in British Columbia, Canada
That's cool!!!
Hungary, Göd. I have this little gem, and the Roomperfect is really a dealbreaker thing.
It sure is! I was shocked how sweet it was!
Love the suit!
I love that you love the suit! But I'm not wearing any pants!
Looks to be a good Scandinavian product. Good review.
I listened to it before and was underwhelmed by the vinyl - I didn’t know about the gain setting though. I wonder how the NAD would compare if you got the Dirac and Streaming MDC2 module?
I'd have to spring another 6 hundy for that. I don't know. Maybe, they'll send me one. I don't think I'm on NAD's radar yet! Thanks... great question!
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog I would hope that they would offer you one for testing. Given that you’ve gone more than halfway and it’s the part of the amp that is going to make it really stand out.
Hello from France.. I too own an 1120.
Are you happy with your purchase?
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil-
In the end, sound is analog… so keep the name!!!
I think I will!
Hi from Sweden. I have the 1120 and the only drawback is the lack of a built-in headphone amp.
It is painfully missing!
Hello

Cheers 🙏🏻
PS
No subwoofer output on the Lyngdorf ?
Hi I am also Thai, there is analog rca output at the back.
Great video, unfortunately you’ll loose most viewers at 4:20min after you mention the price ;)
Many or most of us here are followers of Cheap Audio Man channel, you know which price bracket we fall under ;-)
I am personally currently sitting on a fence between WiiM amp and Eversolo A6, btw.
Keep the great content coming and don’t blame/hate us much if we sometimes hit the ‘skip’ button. :-)
Cheers from NZ…one more for your worldwide map.
Well, I hear ya! That's why I couldn't keep it. It really was next level though, thanks to the room correction! Thanks for the support!
Hey there Bob!
Watching you from Athens, Greece!
Keep up the good job, you are doing great!
What is your favourite amp for these Heresy's you have back there?
I am now using a vintage Sansui 771 receiver, but I am starting to consider tubes
(I know it is irrelevant, but hey this is an audio channel right? 😅)
Cheers!!
Trouble with airplay support, depending on the version, it does not support lossless audio, and I forgot how the mix is, I know the NEWER version does not support lossless but the older does, go figure.
Who said "you can't always get what you want?" This IS a crazy hobby! Thanks for watching!
I'm still wondering how RoomPerfect compares to DIrac Live or Audyssey. It's supposed to be better but I wonder if you can really hear the difference with a Denon AV of say a 1000 dollars difference in price.
lol. My question got answered 5 seconds after I wrote this :) (around 14:25)
Looks great! Austin, TX
nice video from denmark
Thanks! 😃 You can probably get one of these cheap!
Hi again Bob!
I already have some network players. They are working alright. They are good sounding devices.
And
You just made me spend more money ...😢😢😢...again..
From Seoul S.Korea
Btw you looking good in the suits
Thanks! I don't dress for the gear I have ... I dress for the gear I want! Thanks!!!
Wonder how it compares with a Michi X3? Of course the X3 doesn’t have a streamer…
No experience with that gear!
Hello from Sydney, Australia.
Not the Maxwell Smart of amps?
Let's go... ah... Jason Bourne of Streamers!
How does it compare to the NAD C3050?
I can confirm this Lyngdorf amp has a nice class a/b tone. Whoever said it has a class d tone. I don't hear it.
Hello from Italy, is the power fine for the Ls 50 Meta?
I am from Missouri.
📍 pinned! Thanks for the support!
Funny PRANK Bob, what Mac amp doing in your back
ground?
The lyngdorf has a pre out so you can use a different amp.
