Why click on "Main Comp" when this imports ALL of the compositions in a project anyway, instead of just ONE composition from that project?
Great! And I got to put the 1000th like!
Thank you!
I wish i knew this earlier. 👍 Thanks
Thank you, just what i was looking for.
Just what I’ve been looking for. Thank you so much 😊

Thank you very much, I had a big project that I worked on pretty quickly and I didn't feel like stopping to save my progress and eventually when I went to render my output module had an issue and I couldn't fix it without restarting after effects and losing all my progress. But this helped me keep the progress but in a different project
Glad it helped you out! :)
.....it starts at 1:00 ....but yeah the video did definitely help. thank you! Gave it a like

Thank you, really helpful for me. 2021
thank you...
when I open the collected files they DONT HAVE the same attributes and functions, so frustrating....
doesnt work, never has the compositions that i selected included, only the footage.
thank you sm, you saved my ass!
Hey there and thank you for the video. What I want to ask you is if I can do this for a project I have created in after effects 2020 for after effects 2024. So basically I have created some projects in after effects 2020, but I want to download the 2024 version and what I'm asking is if in this way that you explained in the video will work for me, I want to import those projects from after effects 2020 into after effects 2024! Please, tell me if this will work for me!!
Thanks in advance. 🙌🙌
Thanks alot dude :D
So you did not export only the selected comps but actually all the comps, so why specify selected comps only?
can you make a tutorial on how to add a trail to moving objects? to make sth leave a trail behind. or even other effects for moving objects
btw if possible without any plug-ins
I want to copy the effects that I have done in one project to another. Any idea how to do that? Thanks!
Suraj Sharma You can’t 😂
Save to animation preset?
starts at 1:07
ily
good.. thanks..
I've got here trying to figure out how to edit precomps that I copied from a template file to my current project. But I don't see the same panels as you Ignace.
I don't have highlight it those options when collecting menu appears! How active them?
dependencies --> collect files.
This didnt assemble the project for me, I had to copy the layers to the clipboard, import the folder to the new project, then paste to get the actual layers back.

Ok, but about the changes I made after importing, would they affect the collected composition or just the current project?
thank u!
You're welcome :)
I'm trying to figure out how to move everything on the timeline another after effects project. If you have a solution please let me know.
I dont get it! Day 2 with after effect for me and so far I've redone the same thing 10 times for different clips because I don't understand how to save tidbits and reuse them for other projects. So if I made a cool smoke effect in one project, how da heck do I save it so i can just open it up in a different project and have the smoke ready to be positioned? I tried what you said but that will open the whole composition side by side to my new one...so not in the same thing...or whatever. fuck. this app is a pain to overcome.
how to put a transition template at the top of to another composition? please help this is very frustation.
I distroyed my entire project using this as it was substituted by the composition I wanted to copy and the auto-save folder is empty! be carefull
I get a bunch of errors when i do it
Common sense 101 dictates that the "expert" should know to mention AE version number AT THE VERY FUCKING BEGINNING before rattling off to "teaching"

HUTIYA
Never knew about this. I always just copied the contents of the composition
HERES THE EASY WAY: DRAG THE PROJECT FILE FROM THE EXPLORER/FINDER RIGHT INTO YOUR PROJECT. THEN DELETE EVERYTHING EXCEPT THAT COMP YOU WANTED. TAKES WAY LESS BRAIN POWER
allinthemind2006 Nope it wasn’t
It crashed when I did that haha aghhhh
you are fool if you are deleting other comps , sometimes they contain important element of main comp
Thanks!
