Oh my god thank you. You're the only tutorial who was straight to the point and even brought up the comp cutting shortcut. Definitely subbing for more!
you are my savior, so type zero and then delete is to prevent a blank frame when the first looping, looking for this solution and now solved like miracles, thank you mate
This is the most straight forwards explanation - thank you so much! I have tried following other videos/tutorials, but yours is the only one that I managed to get to work first time without any problems!
Ohhhhhh.... thank you so much.....I am a beginner and it took me a day to figure out this looping thing here, but you cane straight to the point and helped me out.... thanks again.
Great explanation thank you, I've implemented it a few times now and the only snag in case anyone else has this issue is when there are fewer frames closer together. I made one with a total of 4 frames with 2 frames for each of my 2 states. When the frames are that tight, the loop will not give an equal time to each state, 2 frames on state 1 and 1 frame on state 2 and it then loops back which in this tutorial because each state lasts a second you don't notice it. To fix this, when I trimmed the comp initially I simply added one extra frame to it and went through the rest of the process as shown in the video.
I always end up needing to come back to this video from time to time. When I see Harry Kane in the bottom right corner I know I've got the right one :)
This video was extremely useful and helpful. I don't like videos often because I usually forget but I had to make sure I dropped a like and subscribed for this one
Thank you man! This is exactly the tutorial i was looking for. The tutorials of other people - despite also being helpful - always had something lacking. When i tried to follow other tutorials i had this problem that the image would disappear for a single frame. Now, after following this short video, i'm finally able to successfully loop my pre-compositions. Seriously, for a second i thought i would have to spend the whole day trying to fix this, probably by the worst way possible by copying and pasting the segments repeatedly. God bless you!
Very helpful. Nice and slow explaining. Some guys just talk way to fast for beginner's. Been using after effects for a couple months now and these tutorials are very helpful. Thx
Just what I needed and worked perfectly! I was able to replace the "cycle" with "pingpong" making the animation reverse which worked very we for what I needed. Thanks! Liked and Subbed!
Oh my GOD! this soooo convoluted! I'll have to bookmark this video as I'm not going to remember all these steps to make a simple looping animation. But thank you for laying it out step by step!
Great tutorial! I used another one first but they didn't the show part where you added a key frame before the last one and then deleted the last one. That made all the difference because it got rid on the black frame I kept seeing as the loop refreshed. THANKS! Also, I appreciate how you were man-enough to show us the arrow that reveals the expression for LoopOut. In other tutorials, they make you write it out - like they're giving you some brilliant, original code they invented.
Thank you so much for making this video. That initial step with the keyframes before inserting the script removes the blank keyframe one may encounter. Once again, thank you. :)
Thank you for the Tutorial! I am having a Problem with the loop. I did everything as you explained and the composition loops, but the last Frame of the composition is always all the Players of the composition visible at the same time. any idea what i might be doing wrong?
You are a life save bro thank you so much i've been looking for this kind of tutorial for so long. Keep up the good work and thank you again you saved me from a long long duplicate job
Doing it this way alternatively skips the first and last frame of my animation :s I just don't understand the math behind this expression EDIT : I found that by letting the end keyframe be (and not deleting it like he does) after setting it to 0, the comp will actually loop proprely. From this I understand that the loopOut fonction merges the begining and end keyframe, which is why referring back to the first frame after the last is necessary and not redundant.
Thank you for your tutorial! It really works fantastic and your explanation is really easy to understand! It's much better than other video clips tried to make me understand as quick as possible.
Your explanation in the first 30 secs assured me I would get exactly what I came for. Thanks :)
I skipped first 3min and get what I wanted. Thank You!
1:50 That's the point that all the tutorials forget to say, you did it really clear, thank you!
I appreciate it, wanted to be extra clear in this one because of its weirdness
loopOut(type="cycle",numKeyframes=0)
thanks
i love you
good man
Thank you
Thank you
Oh my god thank you. You're the only tutorial who was straight to the point and even brought up the comp cutting shortcut. Definitely subbing for more!
Legend, legitimately the only video that explained it in a concise way.
EXTREMELY HELPFUL! THANK YOU!
Y u shouting?
Y ur yt name shouting?
Thanks so much, this saved me - this was more thorough than other tutorials - selecting the hotkey "n" to trim the animation is a real handy trick.
I had the same issue with other tutorials, they just rushed through the video
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this tutorial. You just saved my mental health this was an insurmountable problem for me
You are an absolute saviour. I spent 2 hours reading and watching tutorials. This was the simplest and the best. Thank you so much

Omg thanks! I watched other tutorials but it didn't worked because they didn't explained how to reduce the timeframe to the animation 😭🙏❤
Thanks man you were the only who gave clear explanations and also loop without losing first/last key frames

Well I really appreciate both the like and sub!
Ah, finally that works! Thanks a lot for taking time to explain, when others show it in a one minute video and going super fast. Much appreciated
Thank you my friend ! I forget over and over how to make the loop and I keep coming back here 😂
Happy to help!

This is extremely helpful and appreciate that you get straight to the point and you clearly demonstrate
This is the best tutorial, i know that is 2017 but I been looking for the best loop.
That deleting keyframe was very helpful, thank for making this tutorial

Very helpful. Nice and slow explaining. Some guys just talk way to fast for beginner's. Been using after effects for a couple months now and these tutorials are very helpful. Thx
Cool! Happy to help, I tend to explain more systematically so that anyone can follow along.
Just what I needed and worked perfectly! I was able to replace the "cycle" with "pingpong" making the animation reverse which worked very we for what I needed. Thanks! Liked and Subbed!
As someone coming from audio sequencers this seems an insane amount of work that should be just consigned to a 'loop' button.
Great!!! This one is the best way I have ever seen any other tutorial for looping.
Super Cool Saved me a ton of time and steps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks man. Seems more complicated then needed, but... THANKS!
Oh my GOD! this soooo convoluted! I'll have to bookmark this video as I'm not going to remember all these steps to make a simple looping animation. But thank you for laying it out step by step!
I couldn’t do it without watching this either lol
Literally the only video that helped me *understand* how to do this. You sir, are a life saver! Thank you!!
Aghhh just updated now after effects is back to inserting a blank keyframe. Love it.

I am glad and I love that this video was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thanks a lot pal.
This is how you do it. Everything you want from a tutorial/how to. Thank you.
Great tutorial! I used another one first but they didn't the show part where you added a key frame before the last one and then deleted the last one. That made all the difference because it got rid on the black frame I kept seeing as the loop refreshed. THANKS!

I interchanged the layers inside the composition and this problem was solved

In the case of png seq, all pngs were pre-composed, so I could make a 3-frame loop animation.
Exactly what I needed. Thank you.
