The Karnataka government has "put on hold" a Teacher's Day award to the principal of a college in Udupi district which became the epicentre of a 2022 row when it barred Muslim students wearing hijab from entering the premises. If it is so necessary for Muslim girls to wear hijab , let them wear it after getting out of the gates of colleges . Let them remove their hijab and keep it in their respective bags inside the gates of educational institutions as it is a rule to be followed to maintain uniformity amongst students

When I was growing up in india i never saw Muslims girls in hijab all of a sudden this has started happening actually it’s happening in Uk as well when I came here never saw any Muslim women in hijab but same is happening here as well
I'm from India. When I grew up, Muslim women dressed like Hindus, They wore Sarees, wore Banglas. This radicalism of Burqa started after 1980s with introduction of Wahaabi Islam in India. Even the Mughals never wore Burqa, They dressed in Colorful Clothing.
