I had something similar. Try turning off "HDMI Device Link" in settings. It's something they recently added in the software and I've seen it cause some weird behavior.

Love your work..I can't even get to the settings, mine keeps looping at startup.. Sometimes I can get past it.. I'll try to undo that HDMI link.

Crashing back to the PS menu is usually a sign of failing storage, or failing RAM/VRAM. I'd recommend maybe reballing the memory and/or nand
Will a reflow on the ram ic’s works? I got the same problem with the ps5 crashing on booting but after a minute its stays on. But than the ps5/ps4 games crashing. If i watch a movie or use RUclips there are no problems.
@@barry7160 Reflow rarely works from my experiences as this usually happens as a the result of a corroded/oxidized pad under the chip causing a weak/no connection. Sometimes a reflow can work, but most of the time it makes the corrosion/oxidation worse

I have this exact issue, and the crazy part is, if you have a game downloaded and boot a game really fast, the system will operate totally fine. Once I eject the disc, it goes back to the original crashing problem.

My moneys on one of the ram ics. Maybe its worth seeing if theres any fluctuating power rails anywhere. Or use freeze spray to try narrow down the suspect component
Have the exact same problem. If Im Quick and start a game, and have the game running in The background. The console works like a charm. But If I let it be, this is what it does

You have to meticulously clean the flux from under the clock its very low impedance and even flux screwws it.
My Ps5 has a similar issue with crashing on the dashboard after a controller is connected, but stops crashing after launching a ps4 game, but ps4 game may crash if ps button is pressed. Also, cannot run any ps5 game because of crashing
Try playing a game on it if it stays on long enough to start it. I have one doing the same, crashes on system menu, but will boot and play a game just fine 🤷♂️ doesnt make much sense to me. Also a disc edition

Customer would’ve been better off selling it for parts and purchasing a new one after paying two technicians to diagnose and repair it.
My 6-month PS5 kept crashing and shutting off after 15 min of gaming. I lost my receipt..Watched a repair video (tronicsfix) on a 5 that kept overheating, blew out the console around the power supply and it fixed it. Only knew that area was an issue because of people and vids like this. My PS5 no longer shuts off.
I’m really betting that the APU or one of the ram chips are faulty

Can i bring my ps5 to you bro i brought my ps4 to your house ages ago so basically my ps5 will randomly turn off can happen once a week or once a month or more also i lose sound quite frequently and the other issue is that when i go to turn on my ps5 it wont turn on theres no lights or nothing i have to turn the plug off by the wall and turn it back on for it to work and then i get an error saying ps5 wasnt shutdown correctly i dont trust mail services as I’ve posted a few items and they got lost in transit
