It was initially advertised as feature of GTR, then some info got out saying that there is no such feature on GTR but I can see at your video that there is actually a Vo2max reference on the activity HR screen 5:44. So, does it actually work, or is it ...just there, with no real statistics? Thanks in advance.
If you are near a track, you can do a 'Coopers run' test to see your vo2max. Basically as far as you can go in 12 minutes. (I was tested in a lab and with coopers run and both results are comparable with the latter being free / cheap).
Hi! Nice review. I've got a couple of questions regarding GTR's software, does it have normal watch features like alarm clock, stopwatch and timer? Also, is the alarm clock smart enough to try to wake up you when your sleep is the lightest? I use those functions all the time. I'm trying to upgrade from a super outdated old Pebble Time. And regarding notifications, can you get notifications from apps that are not messages? Like notification of calendar for meetings?

I am a GTR owner do NOT buy this watch, the clock can do everything as described but GPS does not work, takes minutes until a signal is found, on a bike-tour of 13km the GPS signal is missing several km - the Amazfit Pace is older but essential better - GTR has long battery and a great screen but his doesn't matter if you can not use the clock as a sports watch - do not repeat the same mistake as I did

As far as I know, the 42mm only comes with a rubber strap and the strap color options are pink, red, black or white. The 47mm comes with the brown leather strap. Of course, you can buy additional straps in various colors and materials (rubber, steel, and leather) but these are optional and are sold separately.
I've had my GTR 42mm for a week or so now and although it looks great and is cheap it has some very annoying downsides. The AOD eats the battery for fun. I'm talking 20% drop in 8 hours with very minimal notifications and GPS and HR off. Coming from the Bip I was very disappointed to discover the notification problems I encountered with that are all here on this newer device. So the classic double texts and no emoji support is alive and well. Yippee! The screen looks everso slightly off centred on my example which is laughable really. Also alot of the watch faces create this brown tint on part of the screen which is incredibly annoying. Seems QC on my screen at least is non-existent! It doesn't seem as though you can program either of the buttons for different tasks either which seems like an opportunity missed. Changing watch faces via the app (which you HAVE to do as the watch only stores 3!?) takes an absolute eternity, in fact even longer than the Bip! I'm really not convinced about the accuracy of the HR, GPS or even step counter which is ridiculous for a "fitness" tracker! Don't get me wrong I love my GTR as I did my Bip. Just wish it had fewer of these annoyances as it'd be a much better device.
I got the GTR lite and can confirm that the lower button can be reprogammed as a quick toggle for one function like music. Also aod seem to be more efficient now i get about 6 days while also using notifications (around 25 a Day) and sport regulary. But again, i use the GTR lite. I have used the GTR, but returned it after a Day. The GPS is broken on a hardware level. No software that can fix the bad antenna issue.
You go Into either the play store for google or the iphone app store and download the Amazfaces app. That is all you need for the faces. The faces for this watch are currently limited so you won't see a lot of them.
hello, in 6 days i lost 15% on battery, with 0 gps, all notification on, AOD off, 1 sleep track, and today evening i turned on DND, almost 4%-5%/day, this i normal? it said someone its a faulty battery thats true?
Thats around 25 days battery life. In 2 yrs it will probably fall to 17 and stay there for 5 yrs. Then in about 9 yrs it will die. Worth it? I would say yes
Got mine yesterday. It simply wouldn't update the firmware. Watch started uploading the upgrade from the phone before cutting off the Bluetooth connection and auto-rebooting...the cycle continued over and over but firmware wouldn't upload. Rebooted phone, watch, reinstalled app, cleared cache partition etc etc....still the same. It is reboxed and going back to Amazon and here ends my foray into smart watches...shan't bother with them again. I was intrigued with heart rate monitoring, pedometer, sleep monitoring, but if it takes 2hrs to get nowhere, I'm content that I can walk, sleep and my heart appears to be working. I appreciate that this is probably just a software glitch, but I haven't got the time or patience to persevere. Aside from that, it looks good and seemed to work ok...just wouldn't update and for that reason it's going back and that's me done with smart watches.
Hi, I've been using it during a week, previously I had Amazfit Verge. The (good) looking made me change for this but comparing with Verge seems that this is a bit limited on the information provided during exercise mode and, maybe just impression, but the other was also more fluid. But, my actual issue is the exercise mode, when you check the result at the end, there is a moment where the exercise is still in WIP but the GTR does not consider any heart rate until the end. So the result is useless. 4 times tried the exercise and 4 times happened the same thing in different times. Anyone with the same issue?
Great looking watch but he have lack of features and the ROM it's closed and you cant really do anything or install stuff on it and the GPS have a lot of problems.. DON'T BUY IT
Lack of speaker means no alarm sound, no assistant, no calls. I m ok with no calls, but lacking alarm sound breaks my heart and the deal. I ll hv to wait for gtr 2 and pray tht it has, 1. Speaker, 2. Mic, 3. More RAM and storage. 4. More practical n customizable button options, 5. Notification display and disappear with time (sometime u dnt want ur gf/wife to c what msg is displaying continuously).
I used an Verge until 2 days ago when i bought an Galaxy Watch. Verge gave me 8-12 days battery life I miss my Verge , but i love the GW now. I'm lucky if i get 4-5 days with galaxy. I turn the notifications off just to save battery
Why are you NOT honest and say the full truth about this watch? Its GPS tracking is terrible: from time to first fix, to failing to lock on to a GPS signal, constantly loosing the GPS signal and finally inaccurate GPS tracking -- it shows me walking through walls or walking on water in the middle of a river bed! Do not buy this watch.
Have been using my watch for a week now, and have found the heart rate to be very inaccurate. It reads consistently high by as much as 25 to 30%. I have checked my heart rate against two other confirmed relatable sources. Anyone else find this?
Any heartrate monitor that works on the wrist can be affected by movement, or heavy hair. Try to put it snugger and maybe a trim if necessary where the watch sits.

are you sure that you have the 42 mm one? because only 47 mm one comes in this color strap.
Surprisingly the titanium model is way cheaper in India than the aluminium and steel . Good one .

That's actually the large version (47mm). That colour config is only available in 47mm

Hey. Yeah it has all those functions. I also think it gives calendar alerts if linked to your phone, but I don't use the feature much
