I remember it 4 years ago, I saw this video and I directly registered at the university to do computer science. Today I'm doing my master's degrees in Sorbonne university, in Paris, France. Thanks you so much Gyasi
Absolutely amazing wishing you nothing but the best thank you for sharing!

Out of curiosity, what master are you doing?
Can I ask why you decided to go for your masters?
I remember watching that video 5 years ago, you were one of the first tech RUclipsrs that I watched and that inspired me to get into tech. I graduated last year and started my full time role in tech at the beginning of this year. Thank you for sparking my interest in this field.
Hey Gyasi! it's so awesome to see your progress over 5 years, thanks for sharing! 🎉 - It's pretty cool to see where you started as I am currently working as a ECM Developer with Hyland's OnBase in Johannesburg South Africa - I have been doing so for the past year and still relatively new to the Software Dev space, but really enjoying the challenges and learning new things every week! Cheers mate and keep well!😃
Bro, you're the very best. I am also in the tech industry for about 8 years now and I really enjoy your journey. So many inspiring vibes and footages... keep up the good work, you are amazing my friend!
Dope video as always Gyasi! Enjoy the editing and the calm vibes as always.
Saw you at the Microsoft event two weeks ago. Didn't get a chance to say how much I love your content.
Been watching you since I was in middle school, I'm in high school now and you inspire me a lot! Signed up for a computer science camp this summer!
Wow thank you for sharing so much growth, dedication and perseverance! Heartfelt!! God bless you ❤🙏🏽🙏🏽🎉thanks for sharing
Bro it's crazy. it wasn't 4 years ago, but i tried self-teaching myself coding in october 2021 and got my first job september 2022. at the time, my security job furloughed me for covid reasons, and I basically bet everything that with my savings + unemployment i could spend a max of 1-year doing nothing but tryna get my foot in the door and get this $$$. i used to start every day at 6:30 am with a coffee, a typing test, and a "day in the life as a software engineer" videos.
your content helped keep me motivated.
Thanks for motivating me as I pursue a similar lifestyle
great vid, loved the use of contrast.
4 years ago this video inspired me to start my software engineering journey. I'm currently working as a Backend Engineer. Thank you Gyasi😇
You’re very welcome Kwame thank you for the update I’m super proud of you 🙏🏾
I remember seeing that video in 2019!! And I’ve been a fan since!!! You’ve inspired me ever since🙏🏾
This is the video that got me here where I'm at. Thanks!
Great video gysai 🔥
That's cool how you kinda got to reflect back on what you did 5 years ago and watching this video shows like a lot of changes since then
I’m two years into my dev journey and I gotta give you credit for helping me start. I quit my previous career paths and went for it, never looked back. Now I’m a certified ethereum dev and I’m obsessed with creating
This 🎯
Love this
Congratulations Gyasi on 5 years that went fast keep going keep shinning GOD bless your path.
Thank you 🙏
Loved the video! remember finding your channel trough that video :)
Bro what is ur skin care routine!
Thanks!
I don't normally like to make comments on any social but I wanted to reach out and tip my cap to you.
Despite what you do for a living and potentially how much money you make doing it, you seem humble. Also besides rent, your tech gear, and the occasional expensive meal, you seem to live a modest lifestyle.
With so many people struggling, yet living beyond their means it's nice to see someone so practical.
#Respect
Great video Gyasi! looks like a lot of things don't change but many things are completely different. Do you miss anything from how your previous Day in the life was?
This is so clean
Very inspiring!
🙏🏾 🙏🏾
great vid!
this was dope! 🔥
Thank you Darielle 💪🏾
I can't believe it's been 5 years
Me either fr
This is such wholesome content. It is truly a blessing to see how far you come in your career from. Always good to take a peek from the past and seeing how God has worked in our lives.
What editing software do you use?
Great video, what song is this?
the only one of the RUclipsr / software engineer who didn't quit. most of them quit to be comedian on RUclips.
I was so stuck in thinking black folk in tech were either too reserved or non-existing. Gyasi made me realise that my Goal to work in tech (game industry) was all me and not what the world thinks 🙌🏿🙌🏿 Because of that "Day in the life" video my drive shot up that day man. Thank you so much, you have no Idea. Now I'm on the road to start my Game studio when I graduate.
Also I always wanted to ask, what's the name of the song at the end of that video 😂😂 its a vibe for coding if you ask me?
Thanks again @GyasiLinje 🙌🏿🙌🏿 you're a true one.
The right side one is the OG one.
Hello may ik what course did you take in college and what area are you specializing (like web or software developer)?
I aspire to be like you one day bro.
What programming language are you using???please reply
Bro im watch out for my future job i want to study IT but dont know the direction and now 1 day after upload i see this i think it a sign 😂
what is that tablet under ur monitor?
I should get another plant.
your video back in the day gave me the motivation to not quit college
what song is that
you could use a higher monitor 😮
5:16 5 years later and finally getting some drip 😭😭
nah fr 🤣🤣
So you work only 6 hours a day? 10am-12pm (2 hours) and 1pm to 5pm (4hours)? That's a dream!
How many hours a day do you work usually?
That's my problem with the day in the lives. As a devops engineer I start at 9:30 probably leave the desk for 30 minutes.... Other than that I'm working and the occasional coffee grab
@@fauxz3782they really don’t work at all in these aesthetic driven day in the life’s 😂
I wanna watch a vlog of u hoop
Can u post about how AI changes the work of software engineers
An empty gym is the best)
Sir do you earn 230000 dollars a year as a software engineer in new york? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
What language do you program in?
that bottle flip transition at 0:18 was smooth
🤙🏾🤙🏾
The branded conglomerating RUclips platform we need.
Yeah kids teens are different but did investors sponsors get what they want. And like there is this whole other thing of like yeah we do need tech and a system but being an influencers or even a software evangelicalist isn’t enough. Like the data, specifically like getting the data of weather which is I have only seen done by cable news weather forecasters and distribution and making it sexy is like a whole other thing that not even David dobrik could even get to after a decade. Like maybe MKBHD and they put weather dabut like where’s like all the African American RUclipsrs.
If you get an eyebrow transplant, grow your whole hair not just the top, try to grow your beard (minoxidil works) and wear more older vibes clothes you will look completely different, you look too young now no offense
You barely code bro, if I worked like this I would never accomplished anything
so cringe.
The first video that made me a subscriber. 🫡
Ayeee
