Matty asked for a depiction of the "woman at the well", a story from the Bible in the book of John. We got to talk about rock and roll, being a rock star, traveling the world, balancing work and family, recording with Memphis May Fire and being on the Bilboard top 200 and more. Most of Matty's tattoo collection is traditional or neo traditional so I decided to compliment his existing work with a more neo traditional style tattoo for his neck. We get to watch the band play live at one of their special shows and hear Matty talk about the importance of being a frontman and role model. This was quite the experience; hearing his stories and watching him sit like a boss while he got his neck tattooed by London Reese. Check him out. Check his band out. Enjoy. Matty seriously sets the standard on what it means to not only a Christian but just a general good human being.

Quit idolizing musicians as Gods because they’re not, false idols.
That’s the problem with a lot of you musicians or even so called “Christians”.
Which is exactly why the Antichrist is about to appear to call himself God and oppose everything you people think of “as God”, because you truly don’t know what it means to be a Christian.
First your false idols will crumble.
Next your ideas of God.
Third everything else.
Ight so first off I'm in no way idolizing the man. I am very well aware that hes imperfect as all human beings are. Second from what I've personally observed from his public actions he is a good example. Public figures whether they like it or not are an example to people plain and simple that doesn't mean I use him as my template of how I should live my life. That's entirely up to me.

I see no standard set, you clearly don’t realize his arrogance and ego on stage has landed him in hot water various times while boasting about displaying “humility” and being married.
By no means am I damning him in any case, just saying he’s not a standard at all for what a Christian SHOULD BE.
That example is led by Christ himself, no one else so we’re clear.

I adore Matty and Memphis May Fire's message. Even though I am not religious I can really appreciate his passion and the way it translates into lyrics. Hopefully I'll meet the band one day and get to see them live again.
+Jennifer I agree with you milady. MMF are my one favorite band, and just like you, I am not religious myself, but I do apreciate what they are doing, and the way they have their songs written. Matty, do more MMF songs, don't leave the band, we all need you!!

Matty is a real down to earth Man..got to meet them on warped tour and I've been going since 2007 and I hate that this is Warped Tours last year but my friend and I got to meet Matty and the rest of Memphis May Fire at the merch booth and got my bag and shirt and hat signed...he is a really down to earth guy and I appreciate everything he is doing in the music scene

Matty is truly and inspiring person. Not only to me, but I know to many others. I love him and his band, but I also admire him as a person. So glad the music industry has a great guy like that.

I'm going to Warped this year and I got the opportunity to see Memphis May Fire while they toured with Black Veil Brides and they played a really great and fun show. I'm not even a fan of these guys but their message is really awesome and I appreciate and respect the guys. Definitely want to see these guys at Warped, solely because they play a good show.

I've seen them, and met them multiple times. And they don't change. They are always sweet and happy to see you at a concert. Their music helps. So much. I know not just for me, but for a lot of people.

I have been listening to him for a couple of years now, and Matty, you have my deepest gratitude for doing what you do, and for having such a good band, and also for making such an awesome songs for all of us to listen, I am not religious myself, but the songs are just amazing, and true, "but honestly do you think those words you're typing, gonna change anything", no, but I hope this reaches you one way or another and lets you know you have people out here that love what you do, and hope you do more of what you did so far. I can not afford the official physical record, but I have been following and listening to you guys for years now. My gratitude for meaningful records and for being such a nice band. Wish I could watch you live one day, and get your autograph ;P

Matty is yet another that wants to preach most parts of the Bible, but not live them. The Bible says NOT to mark your body. Oops. Be not of the world, is what verses say. Pick and choose Mr. Mullins. It will get you as far as the rest of them.
The Bible also says you shouldn't shave your beard, get a haircut, eat pork, wear clothes with mixed fabrics, or eat shellfish. Nobody follows their religion word for word
I knew someone would come back with a smart answer. He's free to do as he chooses, hence free will, but seeing as he writes lyrics about this and that being wrong, he should probably practice the preaching instead of just writing about it. Lead by example, so they say.
William Lee God knew that no person could ever accomplish any of His commandments that's why He gave His son to do it for us. The rules or any of His commandments in the old testament was meant to be a guide for His people during their own time and culture. Some (not all) of them doesn't apply to this generation anymore (e.g. tattoos, shaving your head and eating pork) but because everyone was starting to become legalistic and hypocrites, so Jesus had to break it to them and said this in the New Testament :
"What goes into someone's mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them." -Matthew 15:11
