If you want to knock a driver out of a race without knocking yourself out, just drive in front of them and hard brake. You might get Rear wing damage and under carriage damage or side pod but it’ll make them crash out and you can finish the race.
As a long running F1 fan and F1 games player, this camera angle murdered my soul (also as you said in the beninging although it can seem unfair, it's very fair cuz it works on competence, so who is best, not oh no they're not equal, because we are in the pinnacle of motorsport and there's no place for oh they must be all equal, and although I'm not a Max fan, I can only admire his and Redbull's work.)
