I don’t sit in hot tubs either. I don’t like pot lucks or community dinners, salad bars, AND I’m weird about sitting on couches other than my own. 😮😊Oh, and I don’t like to handle menus and table condiments.

Agreed! Although I guess if you’re packing for two different climates, you probably need more clothes “ just in case”. But I try to go as minimal as possible, too.
I like having options-that reduces stress for me.

My travel hack 15 min it works
… try to pack your clothes that need to be washed in a bag on the top.
As soon as I walk in I take my suitcase in the garage and throw my clothes in the wash . Wipe and spray my suitcase and let it air out. Take the rest of the stuff in a laundry basket into the bedroom upstairs . . Unpack all the toiletries / etc and shower .
Warm up food and put away clothes .
Eat and throw laundry in the dryer .
I have been doing this for years . This way you are mostly unpacked. The next few days I take to refill any toiletries and to put away my suitcase and all bags .
You will sleep soo much better and it makes your getting back Into routine easier

I pack a bunch of stuff and wear the same comfortable things all week. I am getting better at trying to do capsules that all pieces work together. Dresses make it one and done pieces. You have some cute ones.

That was fun .. thanks for sharing your trip with us . Cruising isn’t in my budget but I enjoyed yours with your visuals and information .
So I actually like the packing cubes not as a space saver, but it makes unpacking on the cruise ship less complicated. I just toss the cubes into the drawer, hang a few things, plus they do reduce wrinkles. This year we are traveling on Norwegian, Oceania, and Celebrity and none have formal nights any longer, but some of the specialty restaurants do have dress codes.
Very interesting and quite helpful as well. I always tend to overpack, too. You are not alone on that one!
I love packing/compression cubes - and they work well if you're just taking a carry on bag. Don't really need them if you're taking such big suitcases!
I like the packing cubes for organizing socks/underwear, or if I have multiple stops during a trip so I don't have to unpack a whole suitcase each time we reach a new destination. But I don't think they save much actual space.
I think I'm with you on team "NO packing cubes." LOL with the exception of the compression style bags.
I LOVE these kind of videos!!!! Marnie would you mind doing a video for the actual travel accessories you used for the trip??? Suitcases, toiletries bag, etc. I’m looking for a new set but I could also get two separate pieces. I’ve always used soft sided luggage but I want a hard sided set because I heard they hold WAY more. Please, please, please and thank you!!!!

Always enjoy your videos, Marnie. We pack very similarly for cruises. Poo-Pouri is in all our bathrooms here at home and always take on cruises. I've experienced the same on formal nights on cruises -- some aren't formal at all any more. I agree about wearing slippers in the cabin. I can't do bare feet anywhere in hotels or ship cabins. Laughed out loud at "climbing and swinging on trees...". I love Chicos clothes for traveling too. Great selection. Will go click on your links now! Thanks so much!

I like packing cubes and like that I can put them directly in the drawers. I cooked on our first cruise, froze on our 2nd. Going in April so I hope to be better prepared. Cute outfits!

one of the best things we bought, is a foldable luggage rack for our home so our suitcases are not on the floor when packing and unpacking. Saves the back! :)

Hi! Your unpacking video was fantastic, you need to do more of these! Packing cubes, I never understood how they made packing easier, never helped me. You need to get some travel folding hangers from Amazon, saves space in luggage and comes in cute colors, love mine. I always bring an extension cord on my cruises, plug it in at the table and it reaches to the bathroom, perfect for getting ready. Did you get to see the Broadway show Saturday Night Fever?
That Broadway style show was AMAZING!! The actors were so talented and the sets were incredible!

Wow! And I thought I was an over-packer, but I took less on a 5-week trip to Europe back in 2019. I don't know how you and Michael schlepped all those bags even one block from the car to the ship, but it looks like you had fun, so that's what matters.

I wouldn't get in a hot tub with strangers, either. It just seems icky. Not that I think those people are icky (hopefully), but it just seems too intimate.

Marnie, we are going on a cruise at the end of the year. Are slips (for under dresses) still a thing or do we not worry about it now? It’s been over 5 years since I wore a dress in public.
