    Great show! I'd like to see more painting and fewer interviews. Also, please show slower close-ups of the paintings when the scores are read.

    thank you for keeping me inspired as an artist ,i am turning 65 and the medicare is going to be exspensive i am on social security and now i feel i should step up and earn money from my 28 years of painting ,i spend every day creating art in a small scale ,my walls are full of canvases so i use watercolor and acrylics on paper ,i have lots of oils calling me to use them,

    I really appreciate Asia being honest with her art insecurities. It let's the fledgling artists like myself, know that even artist's that are good enough to make it into this challenge can doubt their abilities.

    Enjoyed this very much but mainly because after so many challenges gone before it is so very obvious how different they are from person to person and in their personal approach and everything. Even Brie and Asia who seem similar sorts of people, both have an entirely different voice and expression. I really like the whole idea of being emersed in a people situation.

    I felt like Sawyer's painting was more focused on the deer than mountains. My favorite today was Ester, but if it was an animal painting day my favorite would be Sawyer, I really like her deer's.

    The forest challenge has nothing to do with being an outstanding artist and had the possibility of endangering those women for ratings and viewer likes. One person having multiple bags was an unacceptable and unfortunate happenstance especially for those without the proper footwear and otherwise hampered by the spiders and the forest environment. This show seems to be patterned on the TV show "Survivor" . The women should be commended for continuing to follow through with the challenges presented. For those participants this experience must be worth either $25,000 or nothing. The curve is learning who you are and what you will endure to reach your goal. God bless all the artists. Agreed. The challenge going through the forest was a joke. Especially because it wasn’t cleared of spiders and made safe first.

    I would love it if the show would have the judges do the challenge within these parameters and what they come up with atvthe beginning of the challenge so the artists could see and get an idea what they want because sometimes, it seems like the judges give conflicting advice about what they want or what is allowed.
    Asia, you are outstanding! I want to hug her.
    Personally, I didn't think Elli helped Brie's painting that much. It looked blurry. I would have liked to see what Brie could do with her painting if she didn't use a lifeline.
    Jake, please, please PLEASE stop trying to add the pressure at the end. Everyone knows what's at stake and the artists need to stay in their right brain.
    I would love to see what was in the bags, and maybe have a flash in each episode about what one material is and how it can be used as opposed to the extended interviews, although I do like the interviews. Like maybe have the mentors or each artist discuss their favorite and why they like to use it - alcohol or acrylic inks (not sure which they are using), spray paint, adding alcohol to paint, Sawyer mentioned something (quinochridone?), etc or even give small snippets about how to create a successful source. Something for the people who aren't as knowledgeable about mediums and haven't taken classes.
    Great show!

    • @shaystone7184
      @shaystone7184 Месяц назад +1

      Wow! I disagree with tge judging. I think Sawyer's paintings was one of the best. I think Brie's would have been lowest if Elli hadn't painted on hers ( no offense. I like Brie as an artist. She just struggled in this challenge
      ). I agree with Allanah and Esther, the I think it should have been Sawyer or Asia.

    I missed this one I think….but during the judging they are talking about the proportions and yet they weren’t allowed a scale tool. Perhaps the judges should have known that. Also I think portraits are something you could learn your whole life! I create 1 monster for every 4 I paint it feel like! But it’s getting better!

    Art "critics" drive me nuts. The lady talking about the first painting saying the eyes are out of proportion..MAYBE, IF he's going for realism. I mean, tell Picasso that his proportions are off in his painting Girl Before Mirror..or the thousands of artist who painted iconic saints. They said flesh tones..nothing about realism.

    JAKE , can you stop taking while they are painting, is so terrible. you just love to hear you voice, because there is nothing interesting what you are saying. Very immature. You do not want to distroy a good show. I do not mean to offend you. Is just a feedback with very good intentions.

      I think it’s fine- he’s adding another element to the degree of difficulty! Every reality show has a host that talks throughout the challenges …. Would it derail me- definitely, but it’s just a part of the show…. And honestly I think he needs to fill the silence because it wouldn’t be as interesting to watch if he were not talking to the artists.

      Actually calling him immature is offensive and then you say "I do not mean to offend you." if it's "a feedback with very good intentions" then don't gun for Jake and give a rude feedback.

    I am really enjoying and learning from this series! If I can suggest, there are dangers in the woods - recluse spiders, coral snakes, and ticks. I contracted Rocky mountain spotted fever from a tick bite and you don’t want to be responsible for that. Just a suggestion!

  • @clc3897
    @clc3897 3 месяца назад

    I’m getting confused with each episode. Is this a competition that makes artists paint within the boundaries set by the judges, or is it a competition between artists as to who is the most outstanding artist as they complete different prompts? I am beginning to see this more like a competition for “who can please the judges” and follow the precise directions given. A note to artists: when you’re competing and having to do a portrait, do not choose good looking people to paint, you will always fail unless you have tons of time on your hands. Also, don’t choose smiling faces, or three quarter views.

    • @hannahcrumley3103
      @hannahcrumley3103 4 месяца назад +2

      It’s a life line that they are all entitled to once in the season. Not cheating- any of them can use it

    • @nataliebarat1186
      @nataliebarat1186 4 месяца назад +4

      You obviously didn't watch the earlier section when Jake was explaining that they were ALL entitled to use a lifeline which meant 1 chosen mentor can paint on your painting for 30 minutes, and Brie chose to use her lifeline and called for Elli for it. It is not cheating.

    This entire show is a joke. The Mastery Program should care enough about professionalism to make their challenges SAFE, and well thought out. Making people run through spider infested woods is unsafe and ridiculous. Some people are deathly allergic stinging insects, and not providing proper footwear is also a huge problem. Especially since the contestants weren’t warned beforehand. If you care about your people, show it. They shouldn’t have to possibly go without materials just because they can’t find a bag either. Also, perhaps you need better instructors if your students in this competition can’t get basic proportion correct in portraits. If this is how you teach your students, you should rehire an entirely new staff. Absolutely laughable on every front. (To be clear, I don’t blame the artists, only the company & the way they conduct everything.)
