- Asher racing steering wheels must be the most popular in the sim racing market particularly for the Simucube users and finally we are getting entirely new line in 2023
The McLaren GT4 will use one of those models in there racing car and the future of real racing and sim racing is slowly fusing together !

Really glad to see the guy behind Martin Asher. I've followed his work and owned a few of his wheels and always top quality. He moves with the times and always gives the customers what they want. Seems a nice guy

@@chepilevski appreciate the video mate like I said great to put a face to the amazing products I've enjoyed for years. Top many things we buy are made by massive corporations and just a business but I prefer to spend my money even if its more of it on guys like Martin. People who fine tune their product and with love and put as much in as they get out. I have yet to meet a person who has owned a product from Martin who hasn't been over the moon with it and said how good the quality was.
What I'm excited for is what he comes out with in the future because it seems when he pushes him self to do even better than he does already he can produce some beautiful work because that Mclaren wheel is stunning and easy show piece on my shelf 🤣 just have to be nice to the Mrs 🤣

I talked to Martin at the Sim Racing Expo and he explained me the new McLaren Wheel and answered some questions. I already preordered the Artura Pro and hopefully will receive it in a few weeks. For me personally its already save, that this will be the best Simracing GT3/4 wheel ever =).

Martin is a top-notch guy in simracing, I really like what he is doing, and it shows here. Used many high-end gears in my rig, but this McLaren wheel with screen is looking best. Q3 2023 it is coming!

Im currently looking at cube controls, gsi and this. So far this one is my first choice so I have some time to decide. Ascher quality has always been top notch.

@@chepilevski they have changable gripis from 30 to 32 cm on gtx2 rim ;) i do not need screen so wish they do this option for other line of their rims in such way :) cause i’m always sensitive to grip and size and still cannot find my wheel which i like, to be honest i liked grip most of fanatec mclaren v2 rim, can you tell if new ascher mclaren rim is similar in grip ergonomics of fanatec mclaren rim? I know you touched them both 😂 as you modified fanatec mclaren rim ;)
I never had them on the radar. They always looked kind of,..out of shape to me, if you know what I mean,...but when I bought a second hand VRS DD Pro, there was an older generation Ascher Racing button box with Momo wheel included. First I thought "that's a nice bonus" but when I had it in hand, I got more exited about the buttonbox-wheel combo that about the wheelbase itself. The weight, the substance of it,...the cold feel of the black aluminum, the crisp and tactile feel of the shifters, was better than anything I felt before. The feel of the buttons and encoders and even the finish. Everingen just oozes Quality. I fell in love with that brand then and there, and If I'm ever going to buy another wheel, it's going to be Ascher Racing.

Stan, have you seen also the product of BAVARIAN SimTec - Omega One and Pro ? Maybe you can do a review on those products too ?
They have a real clever idea to use the display screen as interface for the wheel's setup ... also not bad I think

Nice. I was on the fence Between GSI hyper sl and the Artura Pro and this just made the decision easier. Still not a fan of the Max logo so will need to do something about that. Do you have an affiliate relations, discount? Wanting to order tomorrow

I just want to be able to skip songs and do volume up and down for music with pandora app on steering wheel but i cant seem to figure out how to do it with the simmanger pro beta software.

Those buttons are great - reminds me of the keypad of a Nokia or Motorola mobile phone!!
The idea of the caps in reality looks so awesome!
The stickers will always create that cheap feeling but those caps gives so nice look to the symbols 😃

So question for you.... Not specific to these wheels but in general... The data connection to the wheels, does using the wireless/bluetooth connection introduce a delay in the button pushes and/or data going to the wheel compared to using the wired connection? I ask because bluetooth in other applications, like using bluetooth speakers, has a delay between action on the screen and the sound coming out of the speakers compared to wiring them, so I am curious if a similar delay happens in this kind of system.
Edit: this wheel looks terrific, I like the array of inputs it provides and the screen.
Yeh man , witless connection always creates latency and that’s the reason most of the wheels manufacturers use usb for there displays on there wheels 🤛

@@avi8r66 the response time on wireless mice now are actually faster than the wired connection, so it can vary
@@celzolsen8988 wireless mice are different though because they aren't bluetooth. They use a dongle which has much lower latency. Bluetooth has a higher latency.
They use a dongle for a Bluetooth connection... same technology, just a better receiver.
Same with Simucube. Also Bluetooth with a better receiver on the back of the wheel base

What size are the new wheels? Don't you find the current wheels (285mm) size too small for a GT3/4 car?

So, did I understand correctly that you wouldn't need the USB coil cable when switching to a Asetek wheelbase? Since that is gonna be the next upgrade for my rig, that McLaren wheel with the screen might be a very interesting add-on for the future
@Epic Fat Lip not yet so be aware it's not a final deal also the mclaren with the dash will be usb only the two other wheels can go wireless.
