I better go get me two beautiful preformed ones to maintain….. I’ll be 66 in July. Girl…..I can’t wait tooooooo long to see beauty. 🌿😂🪴😂

Thanks for showing me around, what a lovely garden centre! I really liked the Blue Star Juniper at 11:59 and seeing the gnarled trunks of the little irregular ever-greens. I liked the bowls at 15:28- 15:40. I am needing to keep some of my plants quite small because I have a lot and cutting away at the roots so that they fit in bowls is a great way to keep small conifers that way. I think it's because I like miniature things and to play with scale.
Someone in my town took an olive tree and planted it diagonally near their front door so it swoops over- it looks great and so naturalistic. I like the idea of taking regular shaped forms and doing something irregular with them. Or taking an irregular form and making it regular :)

Great to see all these plants.
I have decided to try some topiaries because of yourself. I love boxwood as a hedge, but this year I have bought some starts to grow and try to put into a nice form. The best thing about it is, if I decide I don't like it it will be able to grow out.
    I love all your videos, thanks for sharing 👍 👌 👏 🥰

I love your nail polish color. I 💘love learning about all the boxwood and gardening things. So enjoyable on a beautiful summer evening(Ohio) and it appears nice there in Tulsa as well as I just got done cleaning my patio. I'm supposed to b at a grad party but too much cleaning to do at the homestead. My hubby is in the garden pulling weeds. Can't wait to watch tomorrow's vid!!!!!!😊

    Hi Linda and Stuart
I have never seen a topiary store before. That’s wonderful to have. It would be nice to be able to do topiary art. So far all my topiaries are faux. They are uv resistant and they are very pretty. But I might like to try one live one to see how it does. Thank you again for the inspiration. You look great. That color is very complimentary to your skin tone. Take care of your voice. It’s your most important tool. Well pruners too!

What a fun tour of a fabulous garden center. I found your channel a year ago and this old gardener was inspired on so many levels to try some topiaries. I now have 6 large outdoor boxwood and evergreen topiaries and I sculpted my first small boxwood topiary from a waif of a shrub that is really taking shape and growing. today I bought my first Eugenia two ball topiary for my summer deck and will bring it in my sunny kitchen for the winter. Any tips on Eugenia and lemon cedar indoor topiary care would be so appreciated. I just love your gardens and you. Thanks from my gardeners heart. MK in Northeast Ohio Zone 5b.

🧠 On the psychology, Linda, you are adept at recognizing the visual power of the Law of Symmetry. Symmetrical shapes provide your brain with a focal point which helps to harmonize, & organize something before us (which is why they are so critical to your winter landscape). Using a balance of symmetry, like two matching topiary flanking an entryway, is at once aesthetically pleasing, as well as setting an expectation for a different experience. It also holds visual weight, which you've spoken about in framing the view. This is why symmetrical shapes in the garden like topiary are important to spread out or use together in a balanced way to the eye. If used in an unbalanced way, it can be a real eye sore, and steal attention from the surrounding scene.
