I’ve been watching this whole playlist and I was really rooting for Mr Johnson until he rejected the plea deal for trespassing. That was just stupid and know I think he deserves whatever he gets
Magistrate Fink JUST told him that judges, prosecutors, etc, cannot receive private communication from defendants who have representation. And now he's asking Judge Simpson if he received his letter 🙄
If I were to ever get in trouble in that district, I would want to have Judge Simpson adjudicating my case. From everything I’ve seen about his courtroom he is an honest, fair and tough judge. He allows everyone the chance to correct their societal mistakes.
There was another case where Judge Simpson and the defendant had known each other thru the court system for over 20 years 😳! When the defendant tried to bs the judge he told him, man we’ve been knowing each other for 20+ years and we both know you’re lying! Or something to that effect. I cannot imagine being a defendant over a 20 year period where the judge was comfortable enough to call him by his first name and they both commented on how they’d aged over the decades 🫤😑🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ DECADES!!

This is crazy. He chose to sit in jail for 2 years rather then accept responsibility for his actions, and move on with his life. Has he gone through 3 lawyers? Craziness does he think that he can hide his convictions if he gets the case dismissed due to time served?

What’s really funny is that in the beginning, the judge and the inmate are laughing for different reasons. The inmate thinks he and the judge are laughing together at his situation and the judge is just laughing at him in exasperation.

Just because some people die from drugs doesn’t make them a victim, it’s not the dealer’s fault that people have issues. I’m pretty sure he’s mostly been distribution of controlled substances charges instead of any violent criminality, so I’d disagree with you.
@@Sniperboy5551 This is an….interesting…perspective. Even cannabis in my local area (I’m a physician and see this first hand), at times has fentanyl and meth in it. I have done chest compressions and watched people pass who thought they only took cannabis they bought on the street. I would argue that no substance dealt from a drug dealer is safe.

It is a pleasure to listen to a judge who even though he may be frustrated with the continued appearance of repeat or irresponsive offenders,, takes his time to deliver a bit of schooling to the offender to help him or her to have a better understanding of the courts and their relation to it. Michigan Judge Milton seems to be of the same caliber also.

@@OSGCourtWatch to do this takes a long time i should know bc i download these videos of some of these Judes to watch later and they keep adding up i got so far 60 videos of Live Court Streams and they can go anywhere from 15 mins up to 1 hour or much higher than that i got one that's up to 9 hours long and others that's only 37mins so to do videos like @OSG is doing here to get one Case docket on only one perison to show you on all these Judes is not a east task bc you have to understand that a lot of these Judes has so many Case dockets to get to before they evening get to for example Mr Johnson's case dockets so again these follow-ups are not east to do again. plus added to that not to mention the hours and hours and hours waiting on Mr Johnson's case dockets and Judes and one in particular Hon J Cedric Simpson if you have never watch his Case dockets they are so long some times that it's not evening funny and no i am not playing on that. so again back to what i was saying I really sincerely hope you do appreciate what @OSG has been doing bc again if you only knew for real just how hard and difficult this is i think your understand much much much much much better. now with all of this say @OGC lets see the rest. 🤔 he has other The Judes has other Case dockets for our lovely friend Mr Johnson's i know for a fact this can not be all that you got.
You're correct, proceeding by forfeiture is a way of continuing a case (almost always domestic violence) when the injured party (in this case the mother of his children) no longer wishes to cooperate with the state as a witness, however during the phone conversations he had in jail which violated a protective order they discussed on jail phones the assault and have her statements on the phone of exactly what happened and do not need her as a complaining witness as it is the State of Mi vs Mr johnson not his baby mama vs Mr johnson.
Anyone else notice that at certain times Judge Simpson looks like he's got giant Mickey mouse ears on with the two round seals behind him..... I can't help but having this visual of a giant bobblehead on this tiny toddler body and those Mickey mouse ears, throwing down the hammer and then cracking up as each person is led away.... Lmfao!! I bet he is a fantastic grandpa, and I can only imagine how he is as a dad or was as a kid!!! Can't get enough of this channel and Judge Simpson!! 🤗🥰🤣✊🏻
Judge Simpson is the nicest and most entertaining judge I’ve seen. Well, he’s tied with the Broward County judge. His name escapes me but I could watch both of them all day long lol

I doubt they’ll ever go back to all cases being in court. This is too convenient. I’m sure all traffic cases will remain on zoom & civil cases, too, in a lot of jurisdictions.
In upstate New York.. I can tell you from personal experience of dealing with my case for getting caught with one Klonopin 10 years ago which I stupidly plead into drug court for. And have done 6 months in jail but still have ran when released.. I have to do two additional months to finish out my county year when I turn myself in next month once I have enough money saved to pay the rent while I'm gone and food for the kids and getting the time approved from my job, etc.. anyway.. I'm a baker, btw. Went from a homeless heroin addicted prostitute to a clean drug free mom of two who works 65 hours a week and pays bills and Im set up for school again to become a lawyer. Anyway. Long story short.. if you're in jail, you go on zoom.. otherwise ..they have you go in person here &;I know this from personal experience getting picked up on my warrant for this last July. So.. that's at least my experience in upstate, ny.
Our luck he'll be an addition to our list of crazy "Florida man". If he thinks of it, I'll remind him we also have hurricanes, sharks & lots of alligators 🤣🐊🦈
Wasn’t this the same guy that tried to send the APA a letter and they explained to him that he can’t do that? He had violated bond and he was caught on the phone saying he was going to clap one of the DAs. Could have sworn they explained to him with counsel all communications would have to go thru them?
I wonder if many of these people look forward to being before judge Simpson because he treats them with respect and makes them feel like someone cares about them.
I absolutely agree with your comments regarding the prosecutor and the terms " problematic" and the concern regarding support for the child. It's very true that attorneys are very skillful when crafting their presentations to the court and attention must be paid to the difference between words that state criminal conduct and words that imply possibility of misconduct
The prosecutor was willing to basically dismiss the case, since Trespass is basically a ticket. She was dropping the serious charge, and he turned it down. Here's your sign, buddy.

Great job following the breadcrumbs of the JJ legal trail. Do you have the hearing where Judge Simpson allows this case to proceed?
Wasn’t this the same guy that tried to send the APA a letter and they explained to him that he can’t do that? He had violated bond and he was caught on the phone saying he was going to clap one of the DAs. Could have sworn they explained to him with counsel all communications would have to go thru them?

I absolutely agree with your comments regarding the prosecutor and the terms " problematic" and the concern regarding support for the child. It's very true that attorneys are very skillful when crafting their presentations to the court and attention must be paid to the difference between words that state criminal conduct and words that imply possibility of misconduct
The prosecutor was willing to basically dismiss the case, since Trespass is basically a ticket. She was dropping the serious charge, and he turned it down. Here's your sign, buddy.
These people…if your 1st lawyer can’t get you off try another.
He's over stepping and try to coax him to take a plea. So he's breaking the rules.
