Hell yeah @ 5 minutes when the camera starts gathering some extra light and it's like we're getting blessed by the god of philosophy :D

Thank God these videos exist. The Organon is a NIGHTMARE to get through alone.
Why is the wording so complex!

Well, because the wording suits the complexity of the realities Aristotle is focusing upon in that work.
Glad that you're finding the videos helpful in getting through the Categories. I'll be (hopefully) bringing out an online class on the Categories by the end of this month in the ReasonIO Academy.
If you'd like 1-on-1 help, you might consider booking a tutorial session. Here's my site for that - reasonio.wordpress.com/tutorials/

Gregory B. Sadler Thank you for your reply. I would definitly check out an online course.
As for understanding Aristotle, I have found it helps a great deal to first translate each paragraph in to language more easily understood and to write those translated paragraphs down.

Yes, that's not a bad practice in general. The only thing you want to watch is to avoid oversimplifying or mistranslating those passages.

3 and -3 are not contrary, they are inverse w.r.t. addition.
