I've been a fan of theirs for a few years now and never cease to be amazed at them. A few years ago my wife and I were in New Orleans and I wanted to see them so badly but the night they were to play very near where we were staying, it rained and we didn't get to see them. This group is the heart beat of New Orleans to me and why they haven't been featured on major networks or carried on radio stations all over the country amazes me. Even though they've been on world tours, I think they are very content with who and where they are. They obviously know they're great and unique. To me, they're the "Voice of New Orleans" . Play on Tuba Skinny, play on. We love ya.
So nice to see Erika back in NO with the band. She usually goes home to Asheville NC. after the tours and festivals are over. I love the way the band pooch sidled over to Shaye for some well deserved scritching and stayed there for the rest of the tune.....

I've never been to England but I have tremendous respect for her. I would love to see Tuba Skinny finally tour there for all of you fans. I have never seen them live. I have an old school chum living in Phoenix AZ area who was from England...he had moved to the USA when he was 15 or 16. I introduced him to my friend, told the friend not to say anything rude. So my smartass friend said to him " said thanks for the Beatles," and we all cracked up laughing when the English friend shot back: "Well, thanks for the Beach Boys then, so there!" Friends forever after that lol.

Great lively solos by Barnabus and Craig.
I think they just got off of that short tour and they drove back to N.O. on the bus they own. So she was able to stay and do the gig before going home . She is a real trooper to stay in the band on the big tours [must be a lot of money in it for her], she has a little boy but at the same time loves her friends in the band, and they love her. Otherwise Tuba SKinny would not exist without that love of the music and each other. It's got to be the toughest on her living out of state.

@@mmg9675 apparently he's a carpenter now. I read he would play with the band when he could, but I haven't seen him for a while.
I love the old time sound of playing it in riffs. I haven’t heard much of it in a long time. Never any doubt about where the beat is.
